Still here, obviously I am doing something wrong. Perhaps starting of with 'For the love of Jesus Christ will you stoop , . . . ' has something to do with effectiveness of said prayer. Perhaps something more along the line of 'Dear lord save me from, . . . ' might be the magic way.

Now the real question. The Gospels promote that prayer can be effective but it also hints at the opening should be the Lord's Prayer and then the petition. Others say doing that qualifies as the 'vain repetitions' part of Scripture and God frowns on that. There is even a 3rd option in the same story, the Publican simply says, 'Have mercy om me a sinner.' and he has a justified prayer and it could be used to cover what would be said in a whole private prayer type of thing.
From the above which option is the one that works once this time period starts to unfold.

De:4:30:
When thou art in tribulation,
and all these things are come upon thee,
even in the latter days,
if thou turn to the LORD thy God,
and shalt be obedient unto his voice;
De:4:31:
(For the LORD thy God is a merciful God;)
he will not forsake thee,
neither destroy thee,
nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.

I like what the Publican said, but the Lord's Prayer is what Jesus said as to how we should pray. I say combine them both, starting with the Publican, and then do the Lord's Prayer.Afterwards, open yourself up to the Holy Spirit.Tell God what is in your heart, what troubles you. He is listening, and He answers all prayers, but we must have patience.Prayers said.

I saw a couple of strong storms in Texas and other places.
Father keep them safe.

I need prayers for my marriage. Been married for 23 years but it's on shaky ground at the moment. I did something that I shouldn't have done. She's having a hard time forgiving me and I just don't know where to go from here. I've been working on my relationship with Christ but that's not enough for her.

I hope we can work it out because she has been a great mother to our children.

Too much info to share but please pray for us.

Father, I thank you for innumerable blessings, lessons, and miracles. I trust in your will and accept your perfectly graceful plan. Tonight, I kneel before you asking for nothing. Humbly, I would like to present my love for you before all that would read this prayer. You are my passion, blood, and fire. I long to be home and in your arms again.

Hoping that time will heal the hurt.

satan works very hard to divide families and uses what he can.


Work on your relationship with God He can do things we can not...

Today as I walked, church was laid on my heart. I walk and then read my next chapter and today was Jeremiah 31 , there are no coincidences in God's Kingdom.

It is graduation time everywhere in the secular world. In the secular world everyone gathers together for this event as one , as they do for weddings and other secular events but not church.
Most know I grew up sitting in almost every man made denomination, always questioning why even as a child , why we did not gather as One ?

There is One True God, He left us His Words , Jesus Christ as our Mediator and the Holy Spirit as our guide and teacher.

God started His church body out in the wilderness and they had to learn and rely totally on Him, Moses was their mediator. Moses was the one teacher for the One God ...Not long after they reached the promise land they got scattered , just as we are scattered.

Jeremiah 31:28 And it shall come to pass, that like as I have watched over them, to pluck up, and to break down, and to throw down, and to destroy, and to afflict; so will I watch over them, to build, and to plant, saith the Lord.

The New Covenant is found in this chapter God is amazing with everything , even timing of what word we will read on what day.

Jeremiah 31:31Behold, the days come, saith the Lord , that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord : 33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord , I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

This weekend we need to look at every gathering , pause and think about what church they go to. Then question why on earth can we gather at this or that and not for Him???

There is coming a day those buildings and book of rules will all be gone...

Isaiah 40:8 The grass withers, the flower fades: but the word of our God shall stand forever.
Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

We have been divided because that is what satan does. Our churches are an absolute mess and if you find yourself saying that is not true , read the Whole Word of God and look at the news . If you find yourself trying to defend that statement ,look at the gatherings this weekend in the secular world. Look at how our children gather as one for fun and learning the secular world and where they go Sunday, for One God and One Word...

Verse 33 After those days, saith the Lord , I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

There is no division in that statement made by God, except what man allows satan to divide...Denominations are having to divide against each other right now because of what the world is saying and doing with His Word... No Coincidence in that and what He is showing us...Pray we can gather before His return as One as He intended and show the children we do not belong to this or that denomination ,,,but The One True God...
