Daily Prayer Thread !!!Plus The Word

The Lord is amazing what He does with His Scriptures. This week alone I have learned several things new.
I was led back to Hosea 8. I was at the last chapter of this Book but when led back to 8, saw something that kinda slapped me in the face I had never caught before.
Hosea 8:4 They have set up kings, but not by me: they have made princes, and I knew it not: of their silver and their gold have they made them idols, that they may be cut off.

I have been led to believe by the world if someone is a ruler God set it up. When I read that verse it made me think of all the things I alone had set up not including God in the plans , so why would our government be any different.
This verse led me back to King Saul , God did set up Saul but he was not a good King. The people did not want God as King and wanted an earthly king like everyone else was doing, 1 Samuel 8...

So if we can set up kings not of God and God can set up kings like Saul , how do we know what God wants???
1 Samuel 8:7 And the Lord said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.

If we look at the whole pattern since 1 Samuel 8, we where to always want God as our King , that is what we where made for. Nothing divides a people more than an election for an earthy ruler.
John 6:15 When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone.

God never intended for us to have a human earthly king...

John 18:36
Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the J...: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

For any follower of God to think we could not live on earth without earthly kings, is to found in 1 Samuel 8 rejecting God.
satan has done a good job giving earthly kingdoms to those he wanted. We only have to look at the stage to know that. Things that look good are not always of God. Things that can look bad to us can be of God. We must know the whole story in the Bible to know what God wants...
Daniel 2:21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding.

We must be Daniel's on this earth to get through the land of Nebuchadnezzar's and Saul's. No matter what humans set up or God sets up on earth , God is our King of Kings...We only have to read the Book of Hosea and the whole Bible to know what happens when we make this life about anything or anyone else...

Thank You Lord God for Jesus Christ our Savior and the Holy Spirit our Guide on Your footstool called earth...

I saw there is a show coming out about the mind of Robin Williams. Of all the celebrities that have died his hit me harder than others .
I admired his talent he had been given and enjoyed many of his movies. They say he felt he was not successful. I never understood people that brush off what a person feels just because they do not feel or see it the same way .That was real to him even though we rated his life better than success or was he right? What is success in the eyes of God ?
Our minds are one of the strangest organs we have. We can create all kinds of things with them , real and not real. Even the not real feels real. The medical world has created all kinds of things to control the mind. If we get sad there is a pill , if we are losing memory there is a pill, if we get a headache there is a pill. If we cant sleep which is controlled by the brain ,there is a pill, if we sleep to much there is a pill and we even have pills to help the other pills.
Can you imagine what they would have done and gave Nebuchadnezzar when he was out there like a wild animal. We have taken so much out of God's hands and tried to fix things on our own and we have created greater problems in doing so.

If we believe in God the creator and the God of Nebuchadnezzar then we need to go to Him. Sometimes we need to be sad , sometimes we need to sleep to little or to much , sometimes we need to be crazy and let God work stuff out as in Daniel 4...

All the celebrities the last decade and longer had one thing in common , man made solutions that did not solve...

This is ripping my heart out

For yours also, my friend !

"It is better for them who lead My little ones astray, to have a millstone tied around their necks, and thrown into the depths of the sea".

This nation has leaped into a state of moral decay.

I am old enough to remember a time of moral values and in God we trust. When I was growing up a man and a woman had to have separate beds to be on TV and now this!

Praying for this nation and all of the inhabitants. I am convinced we are in the days of Judgement.

We have brought the judgement on ourselves. We, as a nation, must repent.

Joel chapter 1 is a confirmation of the call in my book. God always shows the people what happens when we turn away from God. The drought in this Book sounds like the Dust Bowl in the 1930s.

Verse 10 The field is wasted, the land mourneth; for the corn is wasted: the new wine is dried up, the oil languisheth. 19 O Lord , to thee will I cry: for the fire hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness, and the flame hath burned all the trees of the field.
20 The beasts of the field cry also unto thee: for the rivers of waters are dried up, and the fire hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness

I have always felt bad for animals on this planet of unkindness, our sins never just affected just us. From the Garden , Noah and to now, the creations of God mourn and suffer when we do not repent and turn back to God.


We live in a time we can not only see any drought around the world but anything going on anywhere.

There is something the people of Scriptures where called to do in order for God to hear those cries.
Verse 14 Sanctify ye a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the Lord your God, and cry unto the Lord .

After Harvey God called His people to do this and I am sure many did. There where many more that went back to business as usual because we have forgot how God speaks to His people. They forgot then but knew why that drought came ,,,nothing has changed...

People came to believe Jesus was the Son of God at the Cross , when the Sun went dark , the earth shook and thunder spoke, because they believed in the God of Job 38...

Romans 8
For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

Hebrews 4

16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

That is beautiful.
