Dear Heavenly Father , we lift his up to You and ask You keep both on Your path and bless their walk in Jesus name amen

Dear Heavenly Father , we lift this family up to You and know You can provide all that is needed , we call on Matthew 17:27 and give You the Glory , we ask the enemy have no power in this in Jesus name amen

In the Book of Joel we see “the day of the Lord ,” many times. Everyday belongs to the Lord. We are no different than the people in this Book , they forgot and we have forgot this. The whole Bible shows us the past and leads us to the future.
Joel 2
28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.
30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.
31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come.

The people of Joel's time and ours are reminded of what God's signs and wonders are, to remind us Who we belong to ...

The world can really mess with our minds. Following God in this world is not easy. Following God never looks like what the world says it looks like. Fruit is used from the beginning to the end of the Bible.
Taking that fruit from the one tree God said not to take from , got us in this mess.

God knew in the Garden humans could not follow one rule much less many. God provided all they needed but wants came into play ...Adam and Eve had all a person could dream of but since day one we are weak and flawed. We just need to know that and Who to go to for everything we need. They did not ask God first and look at us now ...In my life it was the things I did not ask God first and listen to His answer , that got me in all kinds messes ...

I use to think if I did what God called me to do, I would would see the fruits of that work as the world says. God has allowed us to see in the lives of many gone before us , what the world calls successful what the world calls fruits , that leaves a soul and Spirit empty. We can be on stage with thousands watching and listening to what we say and do and be alone. We can make something everyone wants and sell all we make and be broke.
There are few people in Scriptures that lived to see the fruits of what they did for God, Jesus and Moses are our best examples.
Jesus spent His time doing God's will and look what the world did to Him, He is our example. For the first time in my life I have clarity on fruits of and for God.

Ephesians 5: 9 For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth...
Galatians:5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

How funny they are both in chapter 5 , I love the Bible.

Love in a world of evil and hate. Joy in a world of pain and sadness. Peace in the middle of the war.
Longsuffering in a world that says fun and happy or 20mg. Gentleness in a world that is unkind. Goodness in a world that takes. Faith in a world that listens to the serpent. Truth in a sea of lies...

Matthew 7:16You will know them by their fruits.

Fruits may not be seen in our bank accounts , houses , cars , crowds or popularity. Fruits are seen in the pain and suffering of this life. Those fruits prepare us for tribulation even when we have all the world offers... We are farmers for God , to show others what real fruit is.
Genesis 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

Question what the world says looks good, what the world says is pleasant ,what the world says is wise ...
God provides for our needs and our needs does not look like our wants , Eve shows us that. Our want in this life should be one thing found in 2 Corinthians 5:
For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: 3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. 4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. 5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.
6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: 7 For we walk by faith, not by sight: 8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

He is showing us earth is not our home or should not be our want, He created us to walk in the Garden with Him ...

Prayers said for all.

Do we ever think of why God sent Adam out in thistles and thorns of labor or Eve labor pains. Those where to remind them and us why we are not in the Garden. So when we kill thistles and thorns , make labor for food easier or numb labor pains , God will show us and remind us in other ways...

Psalms 61
8 So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.

What great timing God can have . Amos became one of my favorites when putting the book together. Amos did not go to Seminary and so he was rejected and ignored by the system of man, nothing has changed. Amos picked fruit and was a herder God chose him to bring a message no one wanted to hear. From the beginning humans have not changed we only want to hear good things, remember Micaiah in 2 Kings .
Someone ask why is the old testament so violent. We only have to remember John the Baptist , all the babies killed trying to kill baby Jesus , Jesus on the Cross ,Stephen so on and so on to answer that question. I always wonder what movies , games and sports these people watch that ask this???
Jesus suffered all that violence for us to have the Holy Spirit and trust and rely on all Three ,on a very violent planet. They where in a war in Amos and we are today but Jesus left us Armor in Ephesians 6 to wear.
God never did things as humans do them read Job.
Amos 4 is my favorite chapter … 1 Hear this word, ye kine of Bashan, that are in the mountain of Samaria, which oppress the poor, which crush the needy, which say to their masters, Bring, and let us drink. 7 And also I have withholden the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered. 8 So two or three cities wandered unto one city, to drink water; but they were not satisfied: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the Lord . 9 I have smitten you with blasting and mildew: when your gardens and your vineyards and your fig trees and your olive trees increased, the palmerworm devoured them: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the Lord. 10 I have sent among you the pestilence after the manner of Egypt: your young men have I slain with the sword, and have taken away your horses; and I have made the stink of your camps to come up unto your nostrils: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the Lord . 11 I have overthrown some of you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and ye were as a firebrand plucked out of the burning: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the Lord .
What was done to John the Baptist and Jesus was violent, what God does in Amos 4 is love , grace and mercy but we turned love into something else as well.

We are in a time of seeking refuge. From the boats in all seas around the world full of people to Mexico to a different kind in Hawaii , refuge is the cry.
This world was unkind in Amos and it is today but there is only One place to seek refuge and One place to teach others to seek it.


It was all about turning to God in Amos and today is no different. Mathew 24 , Mark 13 and Luke 21 tells us we will all be in those boats , in those camps but this is what we are to know about those times … Luke 21:13 And it shall turn to you for a testimony.

Those things in Amos 4 God used to speak to His people , He has always used and will use. Turning to Him in Amos was all He ask then and all He ask now. Not sure we know how to really turn to Him as He called them to do in Scriptures anymore...Maybe read Jonah 3 that God loved ...

Praise God in everything, even in daily tasks, in hardship, trials, and tribulations !!! Our souls are being perfected by these, and we should rejoice !!!
