Prayers said for all.

The girls made it back safely. I am so glad they are home. Sheba is still with us this morning. I don't know how, but she is.She will not eat, but she is drinking some water.
Thank you for the prayers, my friends ! This is really hard on me.
Some people will say that Sheba is only a dog, etc. Sheba is a sweet dog, the kind of dog you wish you could have forever. Even though I have been Blessed to have Sheba for 15 years, it is not long enough. She is more than a dog,she is a furry member of the family.
Sheba has taught me patience and perseverance to overcome many challenges. She was born with genetic deafness. The type she has fully manifests itself by the time a puppy is 5-6 weeks old. They are born with hearing, but the cilia, which transfers sound into the inner ear, totally disintegrates by the time they are 5-6 weeks old. They become totally deaf.We taught Sheba simple sign language. Sheba was also born with low vision, extremely near sighted, another genetic condition. We worked our way around that too. She was also born with severely malformed female organs. When she went into heat, is when we found this out. She almost died because nothing could drain, it backed up and caused a massive infection. An emergency hysterectomy at the Vet saved her life. Sheba has had to deal with asthma, and we learned what to do when she had an asthma attack. Then she had 2 strokes in a row 5 years ago, but completely recovered except for a slight unnoticeable droop on one side of her face.I know the droop is there.
A year ago, Sheba was diagnosed with kidney failure, less than 25% function. The Vet wanted to do all kinds of medical intervention, but instead I took her home and changed her diet and regulated her intake. With her age and the low kidney function, she should have died in a few weeks, but she made it a year.
So, now we are at the end. I cherish the memories, the walks through the neighborhood, the neighborhood kids running out of their yards and houses to play and love up Sheba. The neighbors showering her with treats, her furry friends in the neighborhood, dogs and cats, joining us for walks or just loving her up.
She has had a good life. She has given and received much love.I think that God gave us our furry companions to show us how we are supposed to live our lives, even though it is not easy at times.
Sheba's legacy will be unconditional love, given and received.

May God bless your friend [Sheba's'} soul. And you and your family.
My last dog lived past his expected life, troubles and pains got bad enough the last week he would stumble and cry out even with a pain pill in him. I decided it was time and made appointment with a vet for the next day.
That day I spent time outside helping him around petting and talking to him, taking some pictures and videos to remember. Later I looked at the pictures and videos and they all had a white cloud like spirit around him and the lighting was amazing and made him look almost like a puppy again.
