Sheba is barely with us. My 3 daughters are literally on a plane right now, coming back from visiting family in Florida.I really think Sheba is trying to make it until they get here.:(

Re: Daily Prayer Thread !!!Plus The Word
All Nahum told is done and Nineveh has fallen . I can strongly relate to Habakkuk , most of us can.
Habakkuk 1 The burden which Habakkuk the prophet did see. 2 O Lord, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save!
He had no power over the violent time he was in but he knew the One that did. We have no power in all the violence that took place in the last 24 hours but we know the One that does. Habakkuk prayed to God about what was happening and we are to do the same. I love the prayer in Chapter 3 : 6 He stood, and measured the earth: he beheld, and drove asunder the nations; and the everlasting mountains were scattered, the perpetual hills did bow: his ways are everlasting. 7 I saw the tents of Cushan in affliction: and the curtains of the land of Midian did tremble. 8 Was the Lord displeased against the rivers? was thine anger against the rivers? was thy wrath against the sea, that thou didst ride upon thine horses and thy chariots of salvation? 9 Thy bow was made quite naked, according to the oaths of the tribes, even thy word. Selah. Thou didst cleave the earth with rivers. 10 The mountains saw thee, and they trembled: the overflowing of the water passed by: the deep uttered his voice, and lifted up his hands on high. 11 The sun and moon stood still in their habitation: at the light of thine arrows they went, and at the shining of thy glittering spear.

My immediate thought was the words of Jesus in ,
Mark 11:22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Matthew 21:Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.

I know of no one that has made a mountain move by faith but Habakkuk and Jesus are very clear that we serve a God that not only created the mountains , rivers , sun and moon but controls them.

When I lived in the mountains I thought about those verses and understood how little faith I and most of us have in God.

Habakkuk 3: 17 Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: 18 Yet I will rejoice in the Lord , I will joy in the God of my salvation.
19 The Lord God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.

What a beautiful prayer and one to remember when this life of thistles , thorns and violence seems to much...Mark this powerful small Book that shows us how we pray and give to God things like the people being marched in the Sahara Dessert. I truly believe we serve a God that can take care of that if we are Habakkuk's...

I have shared before when any force of nature takes place, I take time to see what is happening in that place. A Tornado hit Eureka Kansas last night for 100 blocks, they where hit in 2016 as well.
Only 2500 people live there and there are over 14 churches. Some will look at this and say tornadoes are random and always happen , not in the Bible I read. Some will look at 14 churches for 2400 people and think that is a town that is about God.
This morning I prayed about this and this is where I was sent.
Luke 9:Luke 9:14 or there were about five thousand men. Then He said to His disciples, “Make them sit down in groups of fifty.”
We love a God that not only created numbers but used them from the beginning to the end.
That is the biggest crowd we know of , that Jesus preached to at any one time. 14 Churches for 2500 people shows division. That tornado will bring them together as One. We are called to be One, when we are divided God will bring us together. The question is, do we know how and why He does this?

Romans 12:5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

It is not totally clear but maybe after a population of 5000 we might need to start another church to read and worship as One. The Apostles went to cities to share same message...When we make anything about us and not about Him we have division. 5000 people should sit and hear the same message Jesus brought …
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

When Jesus returns we will not run off to our different buildings and groups , we will do this together.
Philippians 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

We practice sports , we practice all kinds of things for the world , maybe we should practice this without having to be made to...

Prayers said for all.

The girls made it back safely. I am so glad they are home. Sheba is still with us this morning. I don't know how, but she is.She will not eat, but she is drinking some water.
Thank you for the prayers, my friends ! This is really hard on me.
Some people will say that Sheba is only a dog, etc. Sheba is a sweet dog, the kind of dog you wish you could have forever. Even though I have been Blessed to have Sheba for 15 years, it is not long enough. She is more than a dog,she is a furry member of the family.
Sheba has taught me patience and perseverance to overcome many challenges. She was born with genetic deafness. The type she has fully manifests itself by the time a puppy is 5-6 weeks old. They are born with hearing, but the cilia, which transfers sound into the inner ear, totally disintegrates by the time they are 5-6 weeks old. They become totally deaf.We taught Sheba simple sign language. Sheba was also born with low vision, extremely near sighted, another genetic condition. We worked our way around that too. She was also born with severely malformed female organs. When she went into heat, is when we found this out. She almost died because nothing could drain, it backed up and caused a massive infection. An emergency hysterectomy at the Vet saved her life. Sheba has had to deal with asthma, and we learned what to do when she had an asthma attack. Then she had 2 strokes in a row 5 years ago, but completely recovered except for a slight unnoticeable droop on one side of her face.I know the droop is there.
A year ago, Sheba was diagnosed with kidney failure, less than 25% function. The Vet wanted to do all kinds of medical intervention, but instead I took her home and changed her diet and regulated her intake. With her age and the low kidney function, she should have died in a few weeks, but she made it a year.
So, now we are at the end. I cherish the memories, the walks through the neighborhood, the neighborhood kids running out of their yards and houses to play and love up Sheba. The neighbors showering her with treats, her furry friends in the neighborhood, dogs and cats, joining us for walks or just loving her up.
She has had a good life. She has given and received much love.I think that God gave us our furry companions to show us how we are supposed to live our lives, even though it is not easy at times.
Sheba's legacy will be unconditional love, given and received.
Praise God from Whom all Blessings flow !!!

I totally understand about the love of our God given furry companions. My puppy girl is definitely a part of the family and I love her so much. I often pray that if something happens that God will allow her to be in heaven with me. So after reading your post, I researched it and did not find a definitive answer, but then I was prompted to look for testimonies of people that have went to heaven and returned. I found the most inspiring youtube video about a man that did go to heaven and both of his deceased pets were there waiting for him.

I can't say this is 100% correct, but it gave me hope as I hope it will for you and your girls.

My last dog lived past his expected life, troubles and pains got bad enough the last week he would stumble and cry out even with a pain pill in him. I decided it was time and made appointment with a vet for the next day.
That day I spent time outside helping him around petting and talking to him, taking some pictures and videos to remember. Later I looked at the pictures and videos and they all had a white cloud like spirit around him and the lighting was amazing and made him look almost like a puppy again.

Sheba passed away at 10:40am central time this morning. She fought until the end. She struggled for a good 30 minutes. Even after she quit breathing, her heart still beat for 5 minutes more. She didn't want to leave me. :(
I called all of my daughters, 2 of which were at work, and the oldest was watching my 95 year old mother, as she always does a couple of days every week. I am grateful they got to say goodbye to Sheba.
I know she is in heaven now, and she can hear, see good, run, and do everything she could not do before, or couldn't do since she got sick.I am sure she was greeted by Rufus, Casey, White Foot, Fluffy and Quackers.

God Bless You All for the prayers.

Sheba is the smaller white and brown dog on the left, and Rufus is the big dog on the right.

Just want to hug you. You did so much for her. It is going to be so tough for you for a while. Hopefully in time, you will be able to remember just the good bits.

Re: Daily Prayer Thread !!!Plus The Word
Found out Friday that I have a heart problem. Amongst other things, and I just need prayers.
Not going into the details. But it ain’t good, let’s just leave it there.

Peace, Love and Prayers my glp family.

Please Lord,

Protect myself and others through the trials and tribulations that we endure while on this earth. Please let whatever is to come of this be used for your glory and to show the world what faith is. Please Lord keep us strong, keep us faithful, and bring us the inner peace that only you can bring.

In Your almighty name we ask this,
Amen

My heart broke a little more with each post I was reading of yours as I was catching up. It is now shattered. I am so sorry my friend. I know how much you love Sheba. Sending you hugs and prayers.
