Haggai what an absolutely amazing 2 chapter Book.
Haggai 1
6 Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes. 7 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Consider your ways.
The people had forgot where water , food and money really came from. The Lord's House lay in ruins while people where drinking , eating and playing. Haggai has been commanded by the Lord to rebuild the Temple and remind them who brings a drought , hail and mildew.

11 And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground bringeth forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labour of the hands.

The people remembered there is only One that can call on a drought so they feared.

Haggai 2
17 I smote you with blasting and with mildew and with hail in all the labours of your hands; yet ye turned not to me, saith the Lord . 18 Consider now from this day and upward, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, even from the day that the foundation of the Lord's temple was laid, consider it.

Jesus changed many things and how and what we build is one of them.
Luke 20:17
And he beheld them, and said, What is this then that is written, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner?
Luke 21:5 And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, he said,
6 As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
1 Corinthians 3:16Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
In the time of Solomon and now Haggai they labored hard and long to build that physical Temple. We are to work as long and hard doing the same.
We where left with the Holy Spirit of God after the Cross. We still put a lot of labor , money and time into physical buildings. Much more time than we do building our temple. Jesus shows us it can be a lake , river , mountain or field to build Spiritual temples.
Haggai 2:15 And now, I pray you, consider from this day and upward, from before a stone was laid upon a stone in the temple of the Lord.
We where made to be focused and labor as they did in Haggai to build the church and Jesus is the corner stone. They forgot in Haggai and we have as well. Everything on earth will pass away , Jesus did not tell us to build a physical building. Jesus showed us those buildings divide and we can not be more divided than we are now by buildings. Ever wonder why God Blessed Mr Graham outside in neutral settings ???

Yesterday, as I was dropping off Sheba's things at various shelters and and her medicine at a low cost clinic for low income pet owners,I came home with a Toy Fox Terrier. I had no intentions of getting another dog, at least not for a very long time, as I was bawling my eyes out at each donation stop.

Tinker Belle is an older Toy Smooth Coat Fox Terrier. They told me she was 6 years old, but I think she might be 8. When I take her to the Vet next week for her shots, I will ask the Vet about her age.She has already been spayed, so I do not have to worry about that. Tinker Belle had been in the shelter for a month and a half. It seems everyone wants a puppy, and the older dogs like her are passed over. I spotted her in the kennel.Her whole body started to wag ! The lady who is in charge there let Tinker Belle out. She ran right up to me, and unceasingly was "kissing" me. My tears of grief over Sheba turned into tears of joy !

I was greeted this morning when I woke up, by an absolutely cute little dog wagging her whole body, and then jumping up and down with joy!

Maybe I should have given all of us a little more time to grieve, but, maybe this is meant to be.

There is no replacing my Sheba.But,I think that Sheba would be happy knowing that another dog has been rescued, and given a loving home.
My daughters and my husband all really like Tinker Belle ! They have been showered with "kisses" also. They think that she is absolutely the cutest little dog !!!

What is really weird with all this, is that my very first dog I had when I was a small child,was a Toy Smooth Coat Fox Terrier named Sheba. Tinker Belle is a duplicate of her.

Communication is one of God's most fascinating creations. My moms dog was trying to tell her there was a young opossum in the house and my mom did not pay attention, she thought she was just barking. My mom said she will never ignore her again. Everything God created has a way to communicate from a dog to a blade of grass that turns yellow when it needs water. God showed us how He communicates in the story of Elijah . 1 Kings 19:11 Then He said, “Go out, and stand on the mountain before the Lord .” And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord , but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; 12 and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire ]a still small voice. 13 So it was, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. Suddenly a voice came to him, and said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”

He showed us with Moses Who provides the voice if we trust in Him. He showed us in Numbers 22 with the donkey , He can communicate any way He wants to. From Angels to a donkey God does what He wants. We are the ones that are limited because we limit Him as Moses did.

Humans communicate all kinds of ways now , we have gone from smoke signals and letters sent by horseman to a tweet that can be seen around the world in a second.
As babies we cry to communicate to our parents our needs or wants. That never goes away ,we still cry to communicate. We have to develop our communication skills over time. Depending on how our parents communicated and allowed us as children to communicate depends if we are Moses or Aaron.
Never limit God as Moses or Balaam did. Pay attention to all that is in your life, from a child to a donkey and stop and ask what is being communicated and never assume as my mom did nothing is wrong or change of direction is not needed as with Balaam.
Numbers 22: 31 Then the Lord opened Balaam’s eyes, and he saw the Angel of the Lord standing in the way with His drawn sword in His hand; and he bowed his head and fell flat on his face. 32 And the Angel of the Lord said to him, “Why have you struck your donkey these three times? Behold, I have come out to stand against you, because your way is perverse before Me. 33 The donkey saw Me and turned aside from Me these three times. If she had not turned aside from Me, surely I would also have killed you by now, and let her live.”

Never limit communications , God can speak through anyone or thing He chooses... If a child is acting as the donkey in Numbers 22 do not assume anything, watch and listen. Allow that child to express without fear. Then seek the answer from God the author of communication. Children like that donkey sense and see things different until about 7 years old. They may act like the donkey and it seem wrong, do not be Balaam.
Numbers 22: 23 Now the donkey saw the Angel of the Lord standing in the way with His drawn sword in His hand, and the donkey turned aside out of the way and went into the field. So Balaam struck the donkey to turn her back onto the road. 24 Then the Angel of the Lord stood in a narrow path between the vineyards, with a wall on this side and a wall on that side. 25 And when the donkey saw the Angel of the Lord , she pushed herself against the wall and crushed Balaam’s foot against the wall; so he struck her again. 26 Then the Angel of the Lord went further, and stood in a narrow place where there was no way to turn either to the right hand or to the left. 27 And when the donkey saw the Angel of the Lord , she lay down under Balaam; so Balaam’s anger was aroused, and he struck the donkey with his staff.

Our reactions like Balaam's come from what we are taught or what the world says , when everything is suppose to be about God...If you are struggling with communication go to the Author and be open minded how that answer may come...

You need to look at what I was writing while you wrote this...it will make you smile as Tinker communicated with you and you listened

Tinker Belle is now renamed Jewel ! None of us really liked the name Tinker Belle. My daughters and I were at an impasse, trying to figure out a good name for her.
I asked my husband to think of some name suitable for this little fur ball bundle of love, and he came up with the name Jewel !!!

I about dropped when my husband said that Jewel was the name for our new fur baby. THAT was Sheba's original name before we rescued her 15 years ago. My husband DID NOT know this !

Thank you all for the prayers, and the kindest words throughout all this. You all mean so much to me, and I wish I could give every one of you a very big hug right now !!!
