Daily Prayer Thread !!!Plus The Word

Matthew 2 is so full of messages it is hard to choose. This chapter has the greatest news for all mankind, Jesus is born. We see in this chapter great news , joy , loyality, jealously, murder,and sadness .
All we experience in life this very day.

Matthew 2:16 Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men.

Moses is the first thing that comes to mind when we read this , the stories are a mirror of each other. From Egypt a strange place of safety, to Moses being raised by people not his parents , the killing of children and much more. The two stories have great meaning for all generations.
Exodus 11: 4 Then Moses said, “Thus says the Lord: ‘About midnight I will go out into the midst of Egypt; 5 and all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sits on his throne, even to the firstborn of the female servant who is behind the handmill, and all the firstborn of the animals. 6 Then there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as was not like it before, nor shall be like it again. 7 But against none of the children of Israel shall a dog move its tongue, against man or beast, that you may know that the Lord does make a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.’

Yesterday and everyday we can read of the violence done to children and people , thinking killing the body has power.

Trying to kill Jesus did not happen as a baby, killing Jesus on the Cross did not end life , it gave life.
One of the saddest moments we see with Jesus is when the people still did not get this.

John11:5 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. 26 And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
35 Jesus wept. 36 Then the J... said, “See how He loved him!”
I have heard this taught wrong so many times but the J... and all those there that day, did not fully understand verse 5. He had walked and talked with them and showed them many things and still they did not understand , death is life and Who has power over both .

The world then and now believes the death a body is a loss or removes a threat or the enemy. Even though we say we believe as that crowd did in John 11:5. Jesus knew Lazarus would live that death had no power. We do not want to be in the crowd that does not truly believe as in John:11:5...
Moses was our foreshadow of Jesus just like most chapters before Matthew. This world we die to live.

1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.
All fear stems from , loss , pain or death, when we do not understand what Jesus did for us.
Luke 12:5 But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him!

God showed us in Exodus Who has power over life and death. God showed us in Matthew 2 Who has power over life and death. While evil Pharaoh's and Herod's still exist , the Blood of Jesus is what we face all things with, especially fear... 1 Corinthians 15:55-57 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Thank You Heavenly Father , help us have perfect love and no fear...

I need this word this morning. I am so full of fear right now that I can feel it in the pit of my stomach. So much is going on all of a sudden with my family. I am trying to be strong, but it is just so hard right now.

So, I am rebuking the fear and asking you to pray with me for God to intervene in our situation. God knows the needs.

Thanks and hugs. Praying for you all too.

Think about this for a few moments.

What does fear / worry / anxiety accomplish?

NOTHING! It's wasted time / energy / emotion.

And how many times do folks get an answer when they ask God or Jesus..."WHY am I going through this?"

After that, take a look back over your life and examine the times when you were going through something difficult. Take each one, then imagine how EACH could have been even 10 times WORSE than they were.

And didn't the Father or His Son come through for your EACH and EVERY time?

Therefore, when you come to a NEW trial, remember to THANK the Son and His Father for ALL the times they had helped you in the past, AND....CLEARLY state that you TRUST and will CONTINUE to Trust them to see you through this new one!

Have no fear....for God and His Son are ALWAYS near!

Thank you so much for the words of wisdom and you are so right. So many times, in my past I have been put in similar situations and especially being a mother of two boys. Both of them are well educated and good boys but trouble always seems to come at them from other directions. Each time God made a way and my worrying did not help. So, I am putting this in God's hands, letting it go and praising God anyway.

I read through each and every one of the verses and am going to keep reading them everytime I find fear or worry trying to creep back in.

The Bible is amazing and just like everything was not reveled to the Apostles at one time or to the listeners at one time , we should learn every time we open it , it truly is living.

Chapter 3 makes certain things clear , that humans have been divided on for generations.

7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, “Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? 8 Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, 9 and do not think to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones.

The coming of Jesus did many things and verse 7 explains , Colossians 3:11Where there is neither Greek nor J.., circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all and Galatians 3:28 There is neither J.. nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Those in verse 7 could no longer stand on where and who they came from.

Verse 9 reminds us God that created Adam from dust , Genesis 2:7
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul ... Jesus from the Holy Spirit can do what ever He wants we are the ones that limit Him...
We are to follow Jesus's example , and He leaves no room for confusion how to be Baptized , read Matthew 3 and ask God to help you go to it as child and learn what He wants not what has been taught by humans...If Jesus did it , we long to follow His example...

I love Psalms 91! I have heard it described as the Christian's 911.

Good morning! Just wanted to post this link to a free audio bible that I found on line. Sometimes it is hard for me to read the small print in the bible without my readers, so it is nice to have this to go along with my reading. CBN, also has an audio bible, but it is not the King James Version. This one is KJV.
