A suggestion for you...and anyone else who may be condsidering reading "cover to cover"....

Get a list of the Old Testament...or even the WHOLE Bible... in "chronological order"....before you start.

I had 3 different Bibles. I first read a KJV. Then I read a version called "The Book", which was cool in the sense that each book had a summary / breakdown of what was in it, along with a "time stamp", stating what century it was in.

By the time I was in the third version, a "Revised Standard", I began to see that there were things in the OT that were "out of sequence"....or even repeated.

Example 1

1 Samuel 31 details Saul's death, then 2 Samuel starts with King David's reign.

You will see the SAME thing in 1 Chronicles 10.

Example 2

Ezra, Nehemiah and Esther are all during the times that the Hebrews came BACK from Babylon, and match up with Haggai and Zechariah, but are near the front of the OT.

These are just 2 glaring examples but there are more.

Here's a list that would help that SEEMS to be pretty accurate.

There are several out there that are far less specific. I even saw some that left out several chapters of books. This one leaves out Genesis 4 - 11 among others.

One final thought. THe 4 Gospels overlap, so do a search for "Harmony of the Gospels" or something similar like "Gospel Harmony". You WILL see differences, but I attribute that to each writer's "perspective".

Matthew 18:1-6

What powerful verses in a time the Holy Spirit is saying ,who is teaching the children and what are the children being taught ? God was part of children's education before the 60s, in the secular world. If a child was not being taught about God in the home environment, then they where introduced to Him at school. This should have never stopped but we blended in with a system satan took over and did not separate ourselves. When we ask ourselves what in the world has happened ,Matthew 18 :1-6 holds the answer.

Something I have never seen before was the words of Jesus in verse 6, But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

Little ones which believe in me. We have created in our minds all children are innocent when in fact we see Jesus say “the ones that believe. “ I have met children I knew where not believers.
Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
We are born into a sinful world and if you have children in your care , ask them if they know Jesus. When Mason my grandson was 1 year old and was crying , I held him and sang Jesus Loves Me , he pulled back looked at me and smiled. Never assume all children know Jesus ...Never assume they are to young to know Him...Never assume a child only needs physical healing . Jesus showed us all the different children He healed they are very important for us now ...
Luke 1:41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:

From the womb , they need to start hearing about God the Father , Jesus our Savior and the Holy Ghost our teacher and comforter.

John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.


Matthew 13:38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one.

There are only 2 choices...Do our children know this?

Praying for the children. It saddens my heart, when I see how some of my own nephews and nieces have become accepting and tolerant, of what is clearly not biblical. They think it is being loving and accepting people for what they are.

It is sad , King David has good children and bad .I truly believe our Spirits are given in the womb and depends on how and what they where feed shows up later...

More good has come out of sadness, Thank God ! An elderly lady from my church is so impressed with Jewel, that she now wants to adopt an older smaller dog for companionship, and wants me to go with her to get a fur baby ! :) Another older dog out there will be getting a home instead of being in a shelter !
Adopting Jewel after losing my beloved Sheba is now having a ripple effect for good !!! I am so Blessed !!!

Located in the Hill Country of Ephraim, the city of Shechem played a vital role in the history of Israel. This location, in the middle of the nation, provided the most important crossroads in central Israel. The city lay along the northern end of “The Way of the Patriarchs.” This road, also called the “Ridge Route” (because it followed a key mountain ridge stretching 50 miles south), traveled from Shechem through Shiloh, Bethel/Ai, Ramah, Gibeah, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, and Hebron. This route appears continuously in the Biblical text.
