Please keep us in your prayers! Quoting: tiger1 My brother Kenny is not doing real good. He is rapidly losing weight. His skin is hanging from his body.He has no stamina at all. Everything he drinks is not sticking to him, it goes into the colostomy pouch within 20 minutes after ingestion. The chemo is attacking his nerves in his hands. He feels like they are heavy and swollen, but they are not. Kenny was supposed to only have heavy duty chemo for 2 weeks, as the surgeon said he got all the cancer, and then have the colostomy reversed the end of August or beginning of September. Kenny's oncologist said he has to have heavy duty chemo for 6 months, and no colostomy reversal until next year. After the surgeon told him he can go back to regular eating, the oncologist forbid most foods. Kenny said the heck with the oncologist, and is eating again, but still losing a lot of weight. Kenny is also very dehydrated. No amount of liquid seems to be getting asorbed in his body. He is also very depressed. To top it off, my nephew, Kenny's son, is a worthless piece of trash that does nothing but leech off of Kenny. He has had multiple DUI's, wrecking his own cars and others, and is on probation for a previous DUI wreck. He got arrested for DUI and other charges AGAIN 3 weeks ago, and it cost Kenny thousands to bail him out, pay for the ankle monitor, etc. My brother's bills from this cancer battle are growing, and he cannot afford to continue to bail out his only child. My nephew totally disrespects Kenny, and seems to really care less what is going on. He is extremely self centered. My mother was finally told a couple of months ago by my nephew that Kenny has cancer. She is uncooperative in all things, and is self centered also. It is all about her, and no one else. I will leave this part at that last sentence. My oldest daughter Mary K, moved out on her own 2 months ago. She has disabilities, but she has to do this. I am not going to be around forever. She moved less than 2 blocks away from me. She has a very nice apartment, a whole 1st floor of a very big old fashioned house. Between rummage sales, alley picking, and everyone giving her a little of this and that, she has everything she needs. Her apartment is nicely furnished, and you would never guess the origin of the items. She is happy, but she found out 2 weeks ago that the landlord has put the property up for sale. Since she is on a month to month lease, if someone buys it, she could have a very short time to find another place and no money to get another place unless she would get the deposit back immediately. I absolutely love my new fur baby Jewel ! She is so sweet ! I am still crying for Sheba off and on. I still miss her so much. I tripped on my back steps yesterday afternoon, sprained my ankle, and knocked my hip out again. So, I am back on crutches again.I did not go to the doctor. I am still paying for my previous bills, both medical/dental for myself, and the vet bill for Sheba. 2/3 of my Social Security check is going to pay off these bills, and will continue to do so for most of the rest of the year. I also had a bad reaction to the joint supplements and had to quit taking them. My allergies to meds, foods, and substances is making things very difficult. My husband had another psychotic episode recently, fueled by beer and too many pills. The only thing I can do when he does this, is walk away and stay silent, and wait for him to calm down. I have a lot of other things going on that are pretty minor in comparison, but these are on the top of the list. With all this going on, I am pretty calm, not frazzled. Frustrated for sure. I am leaving everything in God's hands, and will continue to plod through this all. Prayers for all of the needs above and those not mentioned. You are a warrior tiger, but you also deserve a break sometimes. I'm sorry for the heavy weight on your shoulders. I'm grateful you are so very strong and will be able to deal with it all, as you currently do. Sending all of my love, strength and prayers to YOU AND YOUR FAMILY! Amen |

So many of us are going through a spiritual attack right now and that sounds exactly like what is going on in your situation. Father, I ask you to send a hedge of protection around Tiger and to keep her strengthened during this battle. I also pray for her affected family members that you would intervene in each and every situation. Your word says, ask and it will be given, so I am asking for our dear sister / her family and all of their needs: spiritual, physical, emotional and their finances as well. In Jesus name. Amen. This is the word I received while praying for you: Zechariah 4:6 Then he answered and spoke unto me, saying, “This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ saith the Lord of hosts. Praise God from Whom all Blessings flow !!! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 71433356 United States 08/01/2018 08:30 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Boy! If there ever was a time that I needed a Prayer. It's now. Thanks for the above NOLAangel. I'm running for Political office County Commissioner. Never ran for anything, ever. I've talked to so many liars, cheaters and back stabbers. I'm facing even more challenges in the up coming weeks and today. For some reason today's event/Forum has got me bothered. Thanks to all in advance. I am running for the local school board. This is the second try at it, and if I am not successful, I will not try again. The best thing you can do, is pray, ask God for guidance, and let His Will be done. Thank You! If I fail to make it though my Primary on the August 28th. That will be the end of seeking office for me. I have to hand it to you for going the second round of it. It is a Very Thankless position to be in. Praying God's hand will guide you through the challenges that you face in the future. All the Best and Good luck! Dear Heavenly Father , we lift up those running for office , we ask if You want them in that position they win, we ask the enemy have no power in this and let their Lights shine in a dark place in Jesus name amen |

I was able to watch some from a distance and see things differently. The enemy whispered you are not missed or needed. Today when I could go to my desk , I asked in prayer if I was to continue GLP there would be prayer request today , He answered. When we can find God in what seems bad to us, the enemy loses. During this time I saw I needed to finish my Bible studies. I have finished one and already have another in mind, I am going to publish on Amazon with ebooks and maybe a audio book. I love you all very much and thank you for being good stewards with this prayer thread. Prayer works and even though we need our physical loved ones, I saw how much I love my cyber family as well. The enemy is working hard in the fields but God is in charge of what he is allowed to do. Have a blessed day... |

Quoting: Goofy for God The enemy is working hard in the fields but God is in charge of what he is allowed to do. Have a blessed day... Okay, someone did not want me to type this to you because I was about ready to hit send and the screen just disappeared. So here we go again: I know this is between you and God but YES you are needed!!!!!!! Your teachings, your prayers and the love that the GLP community has for you are all good reasons to stay. Do you know how many times that I have read, "If GFG says it, I am listening" ?!?! Behind each and every poster on this site is a soul to be won for God. It's a ripe field that is ready to be harvested. Love You!!!! :JesusHug2: Edited to add: If the enemy is whispering in your ear, that is all the more reason to stay. He does not want you here, but God does. Goofy is kind, patient and a good listener. Everyone likes her because she's one of the most righteous people who talk about God and Jesus on GLP. Quoting: NowIhavetothinkofaname Lots of people on GLP talk about actually being Jesus and are need of meds. Goofy is merely Jesus's follower and shows her humility with virtually every post. Unlike many other Christians who state their belief and cause people to question their religion with their actions. Everyone regards Goofy as GLP's mascot "Bibletard" as that is mostly all she talks about and she cops never ending flack because of it. But it's rare to find someone who really does live their faith and Goofy does exactly that. If you're asking Goofy to prove she's a Christian... Then you're going to get flamed for being a noob. ^^^^This poster summed it up, on one of your threads that you posted. This is how GLP feels about ya. QuestForKnowledge User ID: 76613158 United States 08/01/2018 01:09 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Good day everyone. I don't normally ask for prayers, but my family could use all the prayer warriors help we can get. My cousins daughter will be 2yo in around 6wks time. She has Ganglionneuroblastoma. She had one surgery a few months ago to remove as much of the tumor from her spine as they could. Little Aubriella began to walk and talk shortly after this surgery which she hadn't done until this time. They then started the first round of chemotherapy. Things were looking good, walking and talking was advancing well. Labs looked good. It came time to celebrate her completing her first round of chemo. The hospital held a bell ringing ceremony. Litterally moments before she got to ring the bell their team came in and said the previous blood work had come back. The chemo did not work at all. The scans showed the tumor had grown exponentially. Now tomorrow she will have her 2nd surgery. They will be going thru the abdomen this time. And it will tale aprox 6-8hrs. She has an 80% chance of needing a blood transfusion. They will try to get as much of the tumor as they can then decide on trying chemo again with or without radiation. So please, pray for Aubriella Holland in STL and her parents and big brother as they face this monster again tomorrow. Thank you. |

You started with a pick-axe and a hammer and started breaking rocks to expose the dirt that could be tilled. This comes to mind :blowkiss: The Parable of the Tenants Mar 12:1 And he began to speak unto them by parables. A certain man planted a vineyard, and set an hedge about it, and digged a place for the winefat, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country. Mar 12:2 And at the season he sent to the husbandmen a servant, that he might receive from the husbandmen of the fruit of the vineyard. Mar 12:3 And they caught him, and beat him, and sent him away empty. Mar 12:4 And again he sent unto them another servant; and at him they cast stones, and wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully handled. Mar 12:5 And again he sent another; and him they killed, and many others; beating some, and killing some. Mar 12:6 Having yet therefore one son, his wellbeloved, he sent him also last unto them, saying, They will reverence my son. Mar 12:7 But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be ours. Mar 12:8 And they took him, and killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard. Mar 12:9 What shall therefore the lord of the vineyard do? he will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto others. Mar 12:10 And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner: Mar 12:11 This was the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? Mar 12:12 And they sought to lay hold on him, but feared the people: for they knew that he had spoken the parable against them: and they left him, and went their way. |
