Daily Prayer Thread !!!Plus The Word

Good morning and thanks for the prayers for my husband. I still am awaiting test results but he is doing better today.

The trials just keep coming. Yesterday there was a big lightning storm in the area. We had a strike near the house and lost power for hours. In fact there were numerous outages in the surrounding cities as well. Then when the power returned nothing worked right. It turns out it shorted many of our circuits in the breaker box. Thank God both of my sons got involved and had the right equipment and experience to fix it. This could have been a costly and annoying adventure in the heat.

This morning while reflecting on the past serveral days, God reminded me of something he spoke to me after I had evacuated for Hurricane Katrina and realized I was not allowed to go back home. I was in my car and heading North to look for a place to rent or stay and I heard very clear in my spirit, "This is just a dress rehearsal for what's to come".

Perilous times are coming and we are being prepared, broken and toughened up. I learned that I still have issues that I need to work out like letting the stress get to me. God is spotlighting it now so I can recognize it, pray about it and ask Him for help. My reaction of stress showed me that I need to trust and depend more on Him.

6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

I just felt like I should share this in case others are going through similar trials right now.

I could really use some prayers right now. My elderly cat took a tumble late last week and isn't doing well. I'm struggling really hard with whether it is time to let him go or whether I should give him more time to see if he gets better. It has been an emotional ordeal for me.

I need prayers for my husband. He had a serious episode yesterday because of being out in the heat. Praying that the tests will reveal that no further complications come out of this and that he will have a complete recovery.
