This morning the NHC upped the chance of Tropical Storm formation in the Gulf of Mexico to 40%. They should make it an invest sometime today. [link to www.nhc.noaa.gov (secure)]

The European model has it developing into a Cat 1 Hurricane over SE Louisiana and the GFS as tropical depression or tropical storm. It's a little too early to predict landfall location, but please pray for the Gulf Coast areas as this can be a big rainmaker with already saturated grounds.
