Thank you Pooka, WW, and prayers too for Tiger1...it means so much to me to know you pray for us...husband on major anti biotics now to ward off pneumonia that seems to keep coming back because he can't swallow correctly...he doesn't eat or drink but stuff drains and winds up in lungs regardless....

Anyway I try to think of each of you and talk to Jesus about what you write and ask Him for help, if it's His Will....love you all very much!

Dear Heavenly Father , we ask for healing of body, soul and Spirit and the enemy have no power in this , we ask the loved ones have peace in this in Jesus name amen

Bastecat, continuing prayers for you and your husband. Asking that he be able to swallow normally and stop the pneumonia cycle. Praying for you as caregiver, that you have respite in the midst of your devotion.

Praying a good week on all - and no loss of pets if it be God's will.

Peace for each of us, and peace for our nation in the political mess, and a stilling of all the weather anomalies causing people to suffer so, if it be the will of God.

Let us remember to be grateful for all things, large and small, that affect our days, and to be constant in prayer.

Acts 17: 11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. 16Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was stirred in him, when he saw the city wholly given to idolatry.
17Therefore disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons, and in the market daily with them that met with him. 24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; 25 Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; 26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; 31 Because He hath appointed a day, in the which He will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom He hath ordained; whereof He hath given assurance unto all men, in that He hath raised Him from the dead.

We see they searched the Scriptures daily, to see if what Paul taught was true. Jesus is on the first page of Scriptures and the last. Paul had to dispute with people daily from synagogues to market places.
From Malachi to Matthew was about 400 years and in Athens they had created their own religion.
“Acts 17:16 Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was stirred in him, when he saw the city wholly given to idolatry. “

The Spirit stirred when he saw this. “Acts 1:23For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, To The Unknown God. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you. “
Paul has to explain God does not dwell in temples made by man's hands, He can be found in the streets and market places.
We are more than 2000 years from the Cross of Jesus Christ and we have made our own religion just as they did.
There was One thing that brought people to believe then and that was hearing and searching the Scriptures daily.
We do all kinds of things to attract people to church. Today we are being reminded of what the Tree of Life really is.
“Genesis 3:22 Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”
“Revelation 22:14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. “
Searching the Scriptures daily should be the only attraction we need. The Word of God is life , motivation, food , water , pleasure and inspiration.
“Mark 4:7 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended. “

We have set up generations that are not enduring and are offended. We are being told to go back to the root of the church. We could have no buildings, no money and only be standing in the street with the true Word of God and receive Life eternal. Paul warns that God has appointed a day He will judge all. Today we have time to read the true word of God and follow His commandments.

The only way to endure and not be offended is to be found daily searching the Scriptures and making sure if what is being done and said is true. If we took away the worldly entertainment , worldly food and only stood with the Word of God in our culture, how many would come?

One of my favorite Christmas movies is the “Bishops Wife , ' with David Niven. The entire story line is based on a very wealthy woman wanting to build a temple the way she wants . They where guilty of this in the book of Acts and we are as well without even knowing it happened.

Daily Prayer

Praying for you all.

We only had to wake today to hear of a great sorrow. 189 people where on an airplane that crashed into the sea. 189 people had planned their day like the rest of us not knowing it would be their last.
When I see a strange number I look that number up in the Greek and Hebrew Strong's Concordance.

189 in the Greeks , you will find this “hearing, the sense of hearing .” I only have to go walking most anywhere to see what a noisy world we live in. From Planes , Trains to our cars we live on a noisy planet. In Montana there where places you could go and only hear nature. One of my favorite writers in Scriptures is Elihu found in the Book of Job , chapters 32-37.
“Job 37:5 God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth He, which we cannot comprehend.”

It is a sad day for many due to this plane crash and for those left behind we need to lift up in prayer. We only went a few hours without a woe or sorrow this past week to now. Are we hearing the voice of God over the noise of the world, some hopefully. Today I saw one of my favorite things , a fog bow, a white rainbow. Noise seems louder in fog and it had been very loud from planes , trains and trucks. As I took a picture of this beautiful white rainbow , everything went silent and I heard a donkey in the distance.

I had ask in prayer earlier to show us He knows of the sorrowful time we are in, He answered. In the noise of a donkey as I was looking at a white rainbow my heart smiled in a day of sorrow. If you do not know how to hear God over the noise of the world read Job 32-42 .Then find a place to go and try to get a sense of hearing Him, seeing His creations and feeling His presence. Please lift up those around the world that are suffering a woe and deep in sorrows today , as it is great right now...

We have a promise of better things to come . A place where death, pain , and suffering will not be found. Until that time try and hear God in ways He speaks to us, read Job 32-42 , He voice is not like our noise...

Wanted to post the whole passage but here is part of it..

Psalms 34
4 I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
5 They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.
6 This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
9 O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.

Hi all,
May I ask for some prayers for a very special friend? He's been having heart issues. He's a very good person and could really use some healing.
