Let's continue prayer for our nation to be peaceful. Many are disappointed, I know, that the Democrats now have the House. However, we are to be godly in winning and in losing.

There was SO much prayer over this midterm election - does anyone believe God's will was not done? Surely we all know it has been, whether we preferred this outcome or no. All things for a reason, and sometimes for many reasons. We don't know the final outcome of His purposes, but we know we can trust Him implicitly, that He acts for our good. Some of the worst things ever to happen to me turned out to be the very best in the end.

There are hurt and angry feelings and accusations happening already. I pray this stops, that people accept what is, and begin to work together for the good of the country, praying continually.

We cannot afford continued infighting, and it does not glorify God. I am praying for calm to overcome the people, we the people, and that each of us will give whatever talents and abilities we can to heal the rifts and to lift our country into the godly way it was founded to be.

Let us love one another and pray for one another, asking His will to be done in every area.

Thank you all for praying for my niece and her parents.

She passed away earlier today at 33 years old from cystic fibrosis.

So sad.

Pray for all those suffering from this horrible genetic disease.

I pray that Jesus will come back now and deliver us from this captivity.

Thank you all for the prayers, and the concern for me. I am utterly exhausted. I did not win, but out of my team of 3, which included myself, one of my running mates, Manny, did win. Another challenger not in my group,also won a seat, so 2 out of the 3 incumbents trying to keep their seats lost yesterday.Even though I didn't win, I got a lot more votes that one of the incumbents that lost.
It was not meant for me to win, and I am more than OK with that. Seeing that one of my team mates did win, and we got 2 crooks out, totally makes my day!
There are 5 members of the school board, and the election cycle is 3 seats up, then 2 seats up. When I ran two years ago, it was a 2 seats competition, and this time was the 3 seat.In 2 years, it will be the 2 seats up for grabs, once again, and hopefully they will be tossed out and replaced.

God has a plan for me, and this was His will.I will not stop what I am doing, and plan on attending the next school board meeting with a big smile on my face for the victory given us, and keep on fighting !

The story is there - and it is a heartbreaker. Mother of five children, working in a field one day with Muslim women, used their cup for a drink of water. Been imprisoned eight years for that. Death threats. All horrible.

The problem? She is Christian.

Update - she is apparently out of Pakistan and in The Netherlands at this time. Have not yet learned when this took place, if in fact it did, nor if her family is free to travel with her.
