Received an email this morning from my friend for whom many here are praying, due to his pain level. Want to share a little of it with you:

Yesterday some old guys that are using a walker came to offer their help when I got out of the car and again when I got into the car (we were by a store). So I knew that I look very bad. I decided to be dedicated with my diet in order to lose weight, so that less will be hanging on my spine.

Please thank all the people that are praying for me, I am certain that their prayers are helping.

As you see, it is very, very bad. He refuses to use a walker, cane, wheelchair as he fears it would restrict him and cause him to go further downhill. I do not know how he survives this and has for many years, though it becomes worse and worse as he ages.

Thank you again for praying for him.

Should have added that he is not an ounce overweight - just desperate for anything to ease the pain.
