Ecclesiastes 9:16 Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless the poor man's wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard.
We have set a standard of where we will go today to hear about faith and wisdom. Have we ever thought about going to the the poor man for Spiritual needs?

We live in a world of much division , satan has used wealth , denominations , buildings, strange doctrines and even our cars to divide us.
“Luke 14:13But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind:.”
“John 12:8 For the poor always ye have with you; but me ye have not always. “

Many live in a place the entire town could meet and worship God together but we do not. Some travel miles to find what fills their soul and Spirit or where they are comfortable . Some do not go at all , while others go to a place because their parents went there, this is very common in America.
satan knows what would happen if we ever saw the poor as the rich. satan works hard to take the Holy Spirit out of a community. This time of the year we try and remember the birth of Jesus Christ our Savior . All kinds of events and parties will take place , this entire month when you go anywhere , look to see if the poor are there.


James 2:2 For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment; 3 And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool: 4 Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?
5 Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him? 6 But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?

How many poor are in the places we will gather today , look around.? Are we surrounded by goodly apparel ? Where would Jesus go to church today ?

James 2: Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him.

We will always have the poor because they are the ones rich in faith.
When was the last time any of us went to the poor as found in Ecclesiastes 9 or James 2:5 to see and hear about faith. It made me feel good all those years to hand out the physical needs to the poor , never once did I consider they where richer than I was.
Many of us have missed why Jesus became poor on earth for us and what rich really is, Proverbs 19...

It helps me to let go when I go to the Cross and what was done to Jesus. He forgave and no one has done to me what was done to Him.

I need prayers for my 3 and a 1/2 year old adopted granddaughter, she is running a high fever.
It has been going up then back down, but the last two hours it has stayed high, 104.

My wife took her to the ER, it's been an hour, I haven't heard anything yet.
I hate it when they get sick like this, you just want to hug them up, but my immune system is so shoot, I don't dare.

DMJ, prayers going up. Your concern is understandable. Praying the child's infection found and appropriate antibiotics prescribed.

edited to add: Please take care of yourself - having lupus, I completely understand the concern for your immune system. You will not be able to care for the child if you become ill. Do you have masks in the house? Be sure child uses separate hand towel.
