Daily Prayer Thread !!!Plus The Word

My life is a total mess right now and I don't know what to do. I need some prayers, if anybody can. :(

Turn your problems over to God and have faith. Let Him direct your steps into the right path. We are praying for you.

Pray for those who do not know they need praying for.
It is the hardest prayer I have come up with.
I'm sure you all know what I mean and I am going through it right now.

So for those of us who know what prayer is about....don't pray specific, pray in general for those who need to come to prayer.

Actually that is a really good prayer...
Lord let those who have not found prayer come to prayer within their hearts.
Let then wallow until such time that they realize the glory of You.

People who don't know they need prayer are definitely the toughest "customers" we have to pray for, and the most stiff-necked in response. God is still in the miracle business, so we could see great things in response to praying for those who don't know they need it!

I'm in with you, Lance - let's do it! There are a number of them right here on GLP, not to mention all those in our real lives.

I might have already posted this, and we may all disagree with the Cathars (who I associate with more then anything). But it is beautiful. We can save the Theological discussions around Gnostic Christianity for another thread and not goop up Goofy's thread. This is a prayer thread, not a theology thread.

Thread: My dog has been in the hospital since Thursday with severe pancreatitis

Please pray for this poor sweet pup Keifa, who is really struggling with pancreatitis. May she recover quickly and enjoy many more happy years with her family.

I heard a very pretty song this week on the radio but when I heard “ I am glad you did not call me to perfection , “ I paused and listened very closely to the lyrics.

We have to be careful what we listen to and sing. There are many songs out that are pretty but not Scripture.

The Holy Spirit was left for us to make Matthew 5:48 a life verse, a life goal...

Jesus gave us new meanings to words like life, death and even sleep. America is full of what is called bedroom communities. These places where created to escape the busy city life. Most of them have few businesses and most of the people have to drive some distance to work or shop and even go to church.

satan has much power in this type of living. We can be so exhausted from the commutes and this type of lifestyle, that all we want to do is sleep and be left alone.
It is hard for a business to survive much less a church in a bedroom community. We where never meant to live this way.
There are two kinds of sleep physical and spiritual. We see even Jesus had physical sleep in Scriptures , we all need sleep. We where to never be spiritually asleep. Jesus gives us a heavy warning in Mark 13 that we do not want Him to find us spiritually asleep.

God showed us in the wilderness how we where to be One people. In Exodus God set up a community that ate and slept together. They got all they needed from Him , together. We should not have called a place home that all we did was physically sleep there.
It was my time with my brother the Lord allowed me to see, it is our own backyards and own families that are the greatest Mission fields...

Bedroom communities can be very dark places spiritually, we are to be the Light where the Lord has us living.

“Luke 8:16 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.”

If every bedroom community takes it Light out of town ,like we do for jobs and shopping , what happens ???
The community goes dark and sleeps in spiritual darkness. God is calling us to be the Light where we call home...

I have listened to Bible when I drive for a years ,sometimes that can be 6 hours in a day. It never fails I always hear something new. I want to share two things that really made me pause.

“Luke 11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?”


First we forget who we are compared to God and second “give the Holy Spirit,” that can be overlooked as well. Do we ever ask God to give the Holy Spirit living inside of us things , I tend to forget to do this.
Read all of Luke 11 great chapter.

“Luke 16: 15And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God. “

“ that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.” We truly live in a time we forget this... Be careful what and who we place value on...

Had a beautiful Christmas with my kids in FL as my son is stationed in Navy down there and had to work on Christmas.

Been catching up on the thread...

Praying daily that all needs are met by Our Lord according to His will.

Praying you will all feel his peace and love today and always.

Pray for all of earth and pray for all people of the earth.

Put all of your troubles at Jesus feet, and let Him handle it for you. Put all of your trust in Him, as He knows what you are going through, and will be by your side no matter what. Have Faith !!!
