Matthew 9:9And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him.
Matthew 10:38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

If I say Jonah, these thoughts should come immediately. No where to hide from God, not easy and does not always turn out like we think.

If I say Job, these thoughts should come immediately. We all have sin to work out of us and we all can want to reason with God.
I have been Jonah and Job more than I care to confess. Whoever says following Jesus is easy, needs to read the whole Bible over. Jesus explains over and over how hard it is to follow Him. We only have to look at the examples of any person that followed God , then followed Jesus to see it is not easy. Not only is it not easy ,it looks the opposite of what the world says and does.

God did not stop calling Jonahs to tell people to stop what they are doing and repent. God did not stop seeing what we are doing or not doing.

If I say darkness , this should come immediately. “ Luke 12:2 For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.”

For generations we have been taught to cut corners to save time , money and make things easier . We can not use this mentality in following Jesus. Jonah thought it would be easier to run away.
Do you or do you know someone that needs to right a wrong, do it. Very weak and watered down teachings has taken place for generations , of what it is to follow Jesus.

Souls are at stake and all the things not allowed in Heaven are listed. Nothing this world offers or can cost us is worth hearing , “ I never knew you.”

I seem extreme to some in my faith. I am Jonah and Job almost daily. Faith is not what the world has made it. This past month the Lord has shown me how selfish of a person I am. That is not the word many would call me. Trust me when I say selfish is not what the world has made it. Selfish is when we are Jonah and would rather die in the sea than do what God ask us to do.

Do not teach or make following Jesus easy , that is a lie of the evil one... Look at Job that God said this …

“Job 1:8 And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? “

Job had a lot to be worked out of him, just today I tried to reason with God , what a scary thing to do.

It is time to get more serious about following Jesus than ever before...Do not try and cut corners or play around with darkness, He knows everything , He created us, He knows the hairs on our heads...
