No major update after the pulmonary consultation. The doctor couldn't really give any definitive answers mostly because the CT scan wasn't done for the lungs (it was done to check the blood supply around his heart) so the images of his lungs aren't as clear as they would be if they were timed right during a lung-specific scan. He did see the lung nodule and enlarged lymph nodes and wants a CT scan done of the lungs specifically in 3 months. We will meet with him an hour after that CT scan to review the results together. So at least we won't have to wait long for those results.

He did confirm the emphysema and scheduled him for lung function tests next Friday. He will call with those results within 24 hours (probably Monday since the tests are being done on a Friday).

Until then, the anxiety continues. :\ But at least the ball is rolling now, and rolling faster than it would have been if we had to wait until next month for today's consultation. That's about the only silver lining I can find.

The next scan will be a month before my sister's wedding. And 2 weeks before I'm supposed to go to Myrtle Beach for her bachelorette party weekend. Not an ideal time for bad news so please keep the prayers coming.
