I wanted to give you all a daily update and impress upon you how grateful my daughter has been for all of your support, kind words, and prayers. I haven't said anything, but I do tell her daily all the wonderful things you guys are doing.

Her MRI revealed some nerve damage to around her 1st and 2nd ribs, so it is most likely coming from one of her back wounds instead of the shoulder one like we were originally thinking. There is significant swelling as well. It will be addressed with physical therapy and occupational therapy. Her hemoglobin is at 6.9 and 7.0 is acceptable. Nothing further will be done with that. They did x-ray her lungs, but there was no word yet on whether the hole in the lung had grown larger or not before I left. She is running a mild fever, but they didn't seem too concerned with that.

I'm home to get some sleep since I really wasn't able to last night while I spent the night there in the room with her.

Yes, DMJ, God is indeed great. She really could have easily been taken in all of this and she was not. She could also be so much worse than she is. I thank him all the time for the gift he has given me. My birthday was yesterday and he gave me the best birthday present a person could ever be given.
