I disagree that this was just for "that time and those people". Verse 20 is the "clincher", as verses 16-19 are the "lead in" to verse 20.

There are many who are currently warning others of "coming tribulation"...and to "get right with God".

I have put all my prayers into a candle, now to light ans end the requests upwards. I know that you are all cared for.

I did want to give you guys an update real quick. Sorry I had been at the hospital constantly Friday and yesterday. My daughter did get released yesterday around 5:00. We dropped her prescriptions off at the pharmacy and came home for a few minutes to visit with the kitties and then had to run back to the pharmacy to pick up her prescriptions before they closed at 6:00. We came back and she got a good visit with the kitties, we got her glasses fixed up as good as we could to be worn without the arm that would sit on her injured ear, had a nice visit, stopped and got her some Sonic, and then dropped her off at her dad's. We'll be headed over there in a little bit to get a good visit.

I probably will go ahead and stop with regular updating now that she is out of the hospital and out of the woods. You guys have just been so absolutely wonderful and my rock to help me with this.

No worries with her getting back with the man who did this to her. She has no desire and the detectives have assured us he will be in jail for quite some time. He had never been abusive in any any way to her prior to this incident. He is in jail now for attempted 1st degree murder, aggravated assault and battery with intent to cause grave bodily harm, criminal threat, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He has a very high bond with cash only being accepted for his release. He can't even be interviewed by police as he is still to this day rambling incoherently and making no sense whatsoever.

I'm not sure if I mentioned it earlier and not that it matters at this point but to provide some background for how this may have come to pass in addition to the drug use that everyone was also unaware of, the man does suffer from PTSD from his time served while in the military in Afghanistan. We knew that he had killed people while over there and that it weighed heavily on his mind. Apparently, he had been hallucinating recently with saying that he was seeing the dead and they were talking to him, but my daughter did not feel threatened by it or him. She admitted this to the detectives at the hospital and I was completely unaware of the hallucinations until she was telling the detectives.

My family needs some prayer ya'll.

This is the 4th time all of us have gotten sick this year, we have a 2yr old who is taking it the worst. We rarely got sick before this, nothing seems to help.

It's like a weird cold with light flu mixed in. we've had it for 5 or 6 weeks now.

I agree. This has been an incredibly sad and tragic experience for all involved. My ex-husband and his wife just want to be angry and vengeful and mean and cruel, but I just feel such a deep sadness that I cannot even put into words. I also pray and hope he gets the help he needs. I do not excuse his behavior, but I do pray for him.

Amos 5:2 The virgin of Israel is fallen; she shall no more rise: she is forsaken upon her land; there is none to raise her up.

Amos 9:11 In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old.
Luke 1:69 And has raised up a horn of salvation for us In the house of His servant David.

Amos is a hard read , everybody got in trouble in that short chapter. Amos 5 tells us “ the day of the Lord will be darkness,” for those on broad path but so did Jesus. Amos was mocked because he was not schooled by the other people, God plucked him out of a field.
We can see from Matthew to Revelation no one was to ever bring the word of God that God did not choose. No one was to bring the word of God that did not know the entire Bible and see Jesus in every Book.
Mary , Zacharias , Elisabeth ,and Simeon where just a few that saw Jesus from the beginning.

“Acts 8: 30 And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, understandest thou what thou readest? 31 And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him. 32 The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth.”

No one was to bring the word of God without the Holy Spirit after Jesus left us the Helper.
Things was a mess in Amos and they are now. Nations has always done things that seemed good since the beginning. When we ever bend or go outside of the plumbline God intended ,we end up in the story of Amos.

There is much nature to pay attention to in the book of Amos like earthquake , fire , whirlwind, drought, mildew , worms, pestilence , darkness and floods.

“Amos 5: 8Seek him that maketh the seven stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night: that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The Lord is his name...15Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the Lord God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.
Amos 8:11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord. “

They made the Lord very angry and we have as well . They had Amos , we have the whole Bible and Jesus to mediate.

“Amos 7: 14 Then answered Amos, and said to Amaziah, I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet's son; but I was an herdman, and a gatherer of sycomore fruit: 15 And the Lord took me as I followed the flock, and the Lord said unto me, Go, prophesy unto my people Israel.”

Look at who God chose in all the Bible , look who God chose for the 12, be very careful who you listen to in a time of famine of hearing the true words of God.

We are in Amos and 1 Timothy 4 all that nature was used and is used to make us listen...

“1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils...”

Dear Heavenly Father , we are all in a sick bed we need Your healing hand of the soul, Spirit and body in Jesus name amen
