Hey guys, I just got back from the hospital and wanted to give everyone a quick update.

My daughter had her surgery yesterday afternoon. The orthopedic surgeon said that we had the best possible outcome. There was a clean sever through the brachial plexus nerve, so they took a nerve from her ankle area on her right leg and transplanted it into the shoulder. He believes that with 9 months to a year of healing of the nerve and physical therapy, she should have a 65-70% return of function to the shoulder area.

With regard to the wrist/hand issues, he transplanted some of her redundant tendons from her forearm to the wrist area and she will wear a splint immobilizing the hand at a 45 degree angle for 5 weeks. He indicated that once that is removed she will have far better mobility/use with the wrist and believes there should be full return of function to the fingers and wrist with physical therapy.

I have been here a good while and things are changing every where. This site like any from FB on, are always under attack. We need to remember to pray as this place is a mission field that satan would love to shut down.


Dear Heavenly Father , we lift up this forum that is used for Your Kingdom, we ask the enemy lose power this very day in the attacks done to cause it harm, let Your Light over come the darkness in these matters , protect the owners and all that come in good faith in Jesus name amen
