3 John 1: 1 The elder unto the wellbeloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth. 3 For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth. 4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. 9 I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not. 10 Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church.

The world has always had truth and lies. We had to know the difference and the only way to do that , is with the Word of God . That Word taught us to never be a Diotrephes. The world is full of Diotrephes that believe they have authority to decided what is and what is not. I can not count the Diotrephes churches I have not been received as John was not.
Everything was and is about God and Jesus showed us the way to Him. There was one church and One of Authority. Today a Sister in Christ is laid to rest and we all will face that day. The Lord has been showing the world the power sources of being a Diotrephes.
Earthly power , teaching and ways never held truth. 3 John was written long ago ,imagine what satan has whispered since. Take time today to see all the places God is not allowed in, where we eat, learn, play and work.
We can make all kinds of decisions and choice while alive. No human being has power over death, all will face it and all those choices and decisions we made , we will answer for.

“Ecclesiastes 1:2 Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity.”

We were to build for the New Home only ,this one always had an expiration date as we have...Be a Gaius waling , guarding and loving the truth. Never long to have earthly authority as Diotrephes thought he had.
