Just to check in...Thanks so much for the prayers and kind
words.

I stood on the word of prayer and that I am being healed
and watched-over as I recover from the fall-out of the stroke
thing. Decided to walk to the cable store to pay my cable
bill (would be awful to have the cable off and not be able
to connect with you all & the forum. Was only a couple days
late for a late fee.) Everything just kindof slides when
you have a health crisis...kitchen is a wreck on a wreck
...cloths need washed...dog's out of dog food, on and on!
You know how it goes. Just doing the most important things
FIRST.

I was walking up the street and was getting pretty dizzy
(have a walking stick so I don't fall over! lol!) when I
spotted a Uhaul in front of one of the apartment buildings.
An older lady sat on the tailgate and I crossed over and
just asked if she was "moving in...or moving out?" I thought
she might let me sit a minute with her to catch my breath.
She was happy to have the company, she said.

Then I noticed there was nothing inside the Uhaul truck
except a small pup tent and some personal articles strewn
around it. I said: "Wow! Truck camping, huh?" What a
great idea--you must be traveling then?

She laughed a little self-consciously (and I felt bad since
she wouldn't know I was kidding around)...she said:
"It's cheaper than a motel/hotel...got a deal for $20/day
for the truck!"

Then she told me a COINCIDENTAL THING WE HAVE IN COMMON!
(Not really so coincidental, since I was praying all the
while I was walking along that I wouldn't have an "attack"
while I was out by myself...) She told me her young husband
(only 35 years old) had just had a mild stroke 2 days ago
and they were stopped cold in their trip from Arizona to
meet friends up here. Her husband eventually came out of
the cab of the truck and we introduced ourselves. WE had
an interesting conversation for about an hour before I
needed to finish my pilgrimage to the cable store...but I
was able to give them some tips on TIA attacks and on
the more serious ones like AVA's, etc. I suggested that
they might want to park somewhere shady where he can stay
out of the heat--it was in the low 70's today up here.

It really made me think how BLESSED and fortunate I am to
have a home and a somewhat stable situation with my own
health issues...and I don't have to be in the back of a
UHaul truck in a tent trying to get over this. (They actually
are not homeless--said they own a small business where they
are from...and just trying to figure out what to do in this
crisis.) I wished I could have offered them more...but they
insisted their friends will help out once they get to the
next town. I said a little prayer for them on my way.
(It would be sweet to add these kids to our prayers.)

Took a cab back to the house, though, since I decided not
to push things after so short a time. God is good to
put folks in each other's paths where they can help each
other--even if only for some kind words and to "Share
the grief." I think we all felt better after the conversation. I had a couple "epiphany moments" on my
walk even beyond meeting the couple in the truck--I know
your prayers are WORKING!

The "power of prayer"

John 10: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. 2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. 4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. 5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. 16And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. 30I and my Father are one.

Please read all of chapter 10 as it is one message about being one and not being scattered or divided.

“John 10: 10The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. “

Any message other than what chapter 10 is a lie. My dogs and even some stray cats know my voice. We are to know our Masters voice and if truth is being spoken. We were and are to flee without hesitation from those that teach anything other than Scriptures. We, like those sheep were and are to eat only one kind of grass.

“John 10: 8All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. “

Since the beginning as in “Deuteronomy 13: 4 Ye shall walk after the Lord your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him. and Deuteronomy 18: 15The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken,” there have been sheep that did not listen to the thieves and robbers.

To know His voice is to know and live “2 Timothy 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”


Jesus was speaking in John 10 to those that thought they were right. If everyone thinks they are right who is right? The only way to life after this mess is found in Genesis to Revelation. If you have questions about anything , the answer will be found there. The people got in trouble in the wilderness because they were following Moses and not the Lord.
“Exodus 17: 2 Wherefore the people did chide with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moses said unto them, Why chide ye with me? wherefore do ye tempt the Lord? “

Do not follow man but follow the Lord ,then you will know if the voice is a thief or the One True Shepherd...
Those that think they have power and are thieves and robbers of God's word will pay a heavy price. Know the word better than those that teach , the Holy Spirit will convict if something is not right , do not ignore...

God is Great.

My wife is doing very well, she has rehab today, not in home, we have to go there.
Not bad though, just 3 mile drive, I'm thinking she wont need much.

It's like when she got home things just kicked in and getting better fast.

Keep praying people for those in need, prayer works.

Jeremiah 17:27 But if ye will not hearken unto me to hallow the sabbath day, and not to bear a burden, even entering in at the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day; then will I kindle a fire in the gates thereof, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched.


Last night as my Bible fell open to Jeremiah 17 ,I was taken back to find the sabbath there. We were to never make the sabbath about anything other than God.
“Exodus 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.”
“Matthew 24:20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day.”

Oddly enough Jeremiah 17 answered some questions for me about the sabbath in Matthew 24:20.
“Keep it Holy” and Jesus ask “Luke 6:9Then said Jesus unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy it?”

Mothers Day and Fathers Day are both on Sunday. This was done in the beginning of the 1900s by people that did not understand how clever satan is. Please never make the sabbath you give to the Lord ,about anything other than the Lord. We give a lot to the world that will not matter , give Him a whole day. We make a big deal about ourselves enough as it is , understand what satan has done.

There are some great mothers in Scripture and Hannah is one of my favorites , 1 Samuel 2, she made everything about the Lord and we should as well.

If you have made the sabbath on Sunday , then on Saturday , give your mom the best gift ever by explaining why no big deal will be made about her on Sunday. Read her Hannah's prayer and tell her you are glad the Lord allowed her to be your mother...

Praying for all.

I have to do more paperwork for my mother tomorrow. And teach her how to use a smart phone to save her about $150 a month. She's very bright, but this is going to be big leap for her. And I am going to need patience and clarity as well.

I ask that you keep my mom in prayer as after over 60 years of marriage, literally everything changed for her when my dad passed. Finances cut in half, no more 24/7 care, no more nurses and aides in and out every day, and no more husband there to care for and share with.

She is doing well, but it's just difficult.

May you all feel His presence and love for you today.

I am leaving in a few minutes to go to my dental appointment. I will go to the hospital to check on Kenny right after my appointment. I will update when I get home.
