Thread: Need prayers for mom.

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin.

“If we walk in the Light, “ it tells us then our sins are cleansed. There are many if's in the Bible and everything comes with a cost. Who can really imagine the bloody mess at the Cross that was done for us to walk in Light? Why blood , why did God do what He did. We are all different in many ways but from animals to people we can not live without blood and we all bleed. Before Jesus returns there will be lots of signs for us to know time is near. Without doubt looking at the list in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21 alone ,there will be lots of blood and lives lost. Blood reminded the people in days of Moses of Who God is . Blood reminded Peter of Who God is. Jesus paid a terrible price for us to walk in Light.
Hebrews explains how much more sin cost after the Cross.

“Matthew 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. “

The Pharisee loved God and knew the law , they were very religious. Jesus tells us we have to be more righteous than they were. When the world says quick pass, easy button, fast lane just believe and all is washed away, NO...

How many do you know really walking in the Light as Jesus did or even trying???

A very close friend known him since the first grade.

Praying to the Father to help him pass on with no pain and praying for you for comfort and strength to get through this.

I know that most of the prayer requests have to do with
a sudden illness, dangerous operation (or like me--a
sudden stroke)--but tonight I would like to request prayer
for comfort for one of GLP members, "Dace." This is his
thread up tonight on the Forum Board:
Thread: My Dad Died.......

He discovered his dad passed away at home and he sounds pretty
traumatized. (I can just imagine...so often we have the
grace to say our last good-byes and be with other family
members at the hospital or in hospice, but this was not
afforded to Dace or his family.)

I would like--on this Memorial Day--to ask we pray for
Dace and for any others who may be "in memorial" for loved
ones in whatever circumstance they have passed away. I just
feel so very sad for Dace that his last memory of his dad
would be to find him having died alone in his house, like
that.

Thanks for your caring thread and for the chance to ask
for this kindness for our GLP brother.

(I'm NOT out of the woods yet....My landlord has threatened
to evict us after on 6 weeks past my stroke because the
building is so old the plumbing is failing for some of
the apartments.) So...lots of grief going on this weekend.

Luke 6:24 But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation. 25 Woe unto you that are full! for ye shall hunger. Woe unto you that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep. 26 Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.

God ,before Jesus came in human form to earth , was very clear we never wanted anything He did not give us. Jesus repeats over and over ,we want nothing this world has to offer. There did , is and will come many woes and we do not want to be in verses 24-26. We never wanted the riches of this world. We never wanted to be in a place where we were full and did not need God for anything and everything. We never wanted to have pleasure while others were suffering at our door step. We never wanted to have a big name on earth, we are just a piece of clay being molded for the next life.

“Luke 6:39 And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch? 40 The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.”

No one on earth is perfect , the blind have lead the blind and made each other well spoken of , when they are still being molded.

“Luke 6:46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? 47 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: 48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. 49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.”

There are a lot of spiritual houses in ruin because we did not follow Jesus but the world. We do not like woes much less talk about them in our time of laughter.
“Ecclesiastes 3 :1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”

Do we know what season God is in vs ours? The world made it's own calendar and right now the world says it is vacation time. The closed beaches due to rip currents ,bacteria , the flooded lakes and rivers , the destroyed homes from 10 days of tornadoes and all the woes of planet earth, tells us what season God is in , it always did.
Yesterday the message was all about stopping and getting our business in order with the Lord , this reinforces it. There are only two kinds of people in this world Moses or Pharaoh. We never want to be Pharaoh and go back to business as usual when the storm stops. Everything we made , bought , ate , read , learned and did was always about what kind of house we built in Luke 6:46-49.

If you can not see what God is doing right now ,ask Him to open your eyes and not be blind and to never follow the blind. The so called Bible Belt has been hit hard of late and man made things are being destroyed , do we see His Grace , Mercy and Love or are we blind only thinking of how to rebuild and go back to business as usual ???

These are not normal times...God is marking who is really His, do not be found blind or a blind leader or as a tare or in Luke 6 :24-26... What are the plans today now the rain has stopped , read Exodus 3-14. Make God first and ask Him what He wants today. It may seem a good thing to do a lot of things right now but the most important is to ask “am I perfect and ready to be a master or does my house need repair?”

Dear Heavenly Father , Your messages of late are very clear to get our spiritual homes in order , help Dace face this loss with You, help OC focus on Your Spiritual things not physical and healing come . help us all get our homes in order and ready in Jesus name amen

Dear Heavenly Father , few of us know when we will pass this person has been given notice , help them be a Light for You and prepare to meet You in this , we ask as the spirit and soul are healed You heal the body in Jesus name amen

Love to you and take time to see where they are with the Lord and if they need you to help them with anything in that direction.

For Joan, healing and comfort.

One of the things we can miss about this passage is for many people , true salvation comes when facing death , pain and suffering. My heart hurts for those in El Reno , Ok and we need to pay attention right now and not be as the people in the days of Noah.

“Luke 17:34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.”

Those odds are scary and the best messages right now can be found on the Weather Channel...
