Praise the Lord and continued healing

John 12:40 He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.


As I shared yesterday we are to young to know what happened to the word of God in the 1800's and the early part 1900s and since. Just because our grandparents and parents grew up with a teaching does not mean it was correct. Many are leaving denominations that they were raised in for this very reason. To read the Bible understanding the remnant, is to not be part of the blind leading the blind.
Every person that held on to and understood Jesus was coming , can be found in Matthew, Mark ,Luke and those that followed. I never was taught this and do not hear it taught in a sea of confusion. God knew with Adam and Eve that could not obey one command, and we would need Jesus. Moses , that was the first church knew this.
I never took the time to look at why Peter and the others found it so easy to follow Jesus, while others did not. We can assume Peter was taught Jesus as a child, Peter knew Isaiah 53. John the Baptist was raised by a remnant. The word of God got changed in the Garden and it got changed in the 1940s.
It was always the remnant God reserved before Jesus came to listen to.
“Romans 11:5Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. 6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work. 7 What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded.”

“Luke 5:32 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

Anna, Zacchaeus and John the Baptist were righteous, they were the remnant. Be a child today and let God open your hearts and eyes. If each generation had protected the true word of God after Acts 2, we would not see what we see today. We have today to get it right...

Update on my dad: He had his angiogram yesterday and there is nothing they could do intervention wise. In the early 2000's he had five bypasses and now only one of those remain open. Luckily it is the internal mammary which is the main supplier of blood to the heart and least prone to occlusion. Also his echocardiogram revealed a 25-30 percent ejection fraction and is indicative of ischemic cardiomyopathy. So they are going to give him a beta blocker, an ACE inhibitor and injectable Statin to try and increase the blood flow.
This morning I explained to him what is going on with his heart and the game plan to keep him going. He can run circles around me sometimes and I told him that he needs to slow down on the strenuous activities. Hopefully he will listen because he can get a little stubborn at times.

Thanks all for the prayers. Believe me we have been having little miracles the whole time. For example, he came in the hospital with elevated kidney enzymes and that resolved suddenly the next day. If the kidney levels what have stayed elevated they would not have been able to do the angiogram. That was a miracle in itself.

Peter and the other 11 had their difficulties with Jesus' teachings too, but they were also the only ones to see things like Peter walking on the water and the "calming of the storm" on the Sea of Galilee.

How many others might not have stopped following Jesus (John 6) if they had seen things like this?

Also...Peter, James and John were the only 3 who saw Jesus, Moses and Elias at the Transfiguration. Ironic that all 3 ended up with writings in our modern Bibles.

The Hebrews had a history of being "stiff-necked", and through the centuries past had ignored and even mistreated the prophets. Is it any wonder they balked at Jesus, who claimed He was (and is) the Son of God?

Lastly, I have no doubt that the Father had His Hand in Jesus' choosing of the 12 - even Judas.

After all...Jesus' entire "mission" on earth was the Father's plan.
