He does not have renal failure, he has leukemia. He has a few days or maybe a few weeks to live, but the Vet thinks a few days is more realistic. All of us are very upset, as our Thomas will be leaving us soon.Thomas is 18. We have had him for 12 years since his elderly owner died,and Thomas became homeless. Thomas is the coolest cat ever. He is affectionate, sweet, and very charming. Everyone who has ever met him says this about him, even the Vets. As an Abyssinian, he is extremely intelligent, and almost human in his characteristics.He is happiest next to people. He is the kind of cat, almost like a dog, who follows by your side in everything you do.Several neighbors are on his "friend" list.He visits my daughter across the alley, my neighbor next door, the neighbors down the street, and the neighbors one street over. He accompanied my walks with my late Sheba, and was walking beside me and jewel until a couple of months ago. What we thought was a slowdown because of his age, turned out to be leukemia. When I brought Thomas home from the Vet this afternoon,Jewel and our other 2 cats, who are elderly also, came up to Thomas. They know, they can sense that Thomas is dying. As I am typing this, Thomas is laying next to my feet, under my desk.There is nothing we can do but continue to give him the love we have been giving him, for all these years. I was crying when I dropped Thomas off at the Vet saturday, crying when I picked him up today at the Vet, and am crying now. :( Hugs needed. Thank you Bastetcat!  We made it through just fine, the places further west of us and to the south had flooding and they need continued prayers. However, it could have been a whole lot worse. I thank God because I do think He intervened. |

God explains Who will overthrow thrones and kingdoms, we never did anything on our own. Jesus is very clear buildings made by man no longer matters. “Mark 13:2 And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.” Colossians 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him.” The people like Haggai God used to rebuild , what worldly kingdoms tore down time after time. Jesus gave us something that this world can not take even if it tries. “1 Corinthians 3:9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building. 10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. 11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. 16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. 18 Let no man deceive himself.
