The Book of Judges and Galatians is all about what happens when we are disobedient to God and why we need Jesus. It shows what happens when we have no one following Galatians 1. “Judges 2:7 7And the people served the Lord all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that outlived Joshua, who had seen all the great works of the Lord, that he did for Israel. Judges 2:11 And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord, and served Baalim:” It only takes a short time , time and time again to do evil, generation after generation. Even when The Lord shows Gideon and the people Who wins wars , Who to follow , it is only a few chapters after that people follow evil. Jesus spent 40 days with satan , to know all we would face. Jesus went to the Cross for us to face it with the Armour He left in Ephesians 6. We were to never long to please men. We were to never preach any other gospel. Adam and Eve needed Jesus , the people in Judges needed Jesus. We can not walk this vile , evil world without Him and not end up doing what is right in our own eyes. Samson was the last judge in Judges , we never want to follow man is the message. Samson was right before chapter 17 and look at the mess. "Galatians 1”12For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ." Jesus was always the teacher , when humans follow humans we end up in the the aftermath of Samson's. “Galatians 1: 6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.” They perverted the Word in the time of Samson and today it is unbelievable what has happened. We have been programmed that we have to sit under a human that may or may not be called by God to be taught. Paul , Peter and the rest show Who teaches. If we allowed the Holy Spirit to be in charge ,we would have gathered as one in Jesus Christ. Even Paul teaching in Galatians shows how soon things fall apart if the revelation of Jesus Christ is not the power source. People followed people in Judges that never worked out. Read Judges and Galatians this weekend and understand how book of Judges and Galatians are related... We were to never have anything to do with any that preached any other gospel. Sometimes like in the days of Judges that means , the revelation of Jesus Christ is hard to find... Ruth 1 :1 Now it came to pass in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the land. And a certain man of Bethlehemjudah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he, and his wife, and his two sons. Then, we see the Lamb, in the sacrifice of Abel to the Lord, as a substitute offering for his own sins, thus begging the mercy of God. Cain on the other hand, sacrificed some of his fruit, in effect saying, "yeah, you did curse the earth with thorns, but see here how I have overcome this curse and have this perfect fruit", (works,and pride). God chose the offering of Abel, who humbled himself in God's presence. This attitude continues until this very day (pride vs humility) in our selection of how we approach the Almighty God. See the account of our Lord of the two men in the temple, one bragging about his "goodness", and the man at the back, beating upon his chest, asking "have mercy upon me Father, for I am a sinner". Jesus said, "this man will go home justified". The Lamb was then offered up in sacrifice at the Passover evening, followed by the liberation of the Israelites in the desert, to be ordained in the desert tabernacle. The Lamb was sacrificed when Joshua led the people over the River Jordan, in the promised land, and thereafter until we see the TRUE LAMB OF GOD. John the Baptist upon seeing our Lord at His baptism, exclaimed loudly, "BEHOLD THE LAMB OF GOD WHO TAKETH AWAY THE SINS OF THE WORLD", confirmed by God in His proclamation, "This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased....HEAR HIM" Then, at His crucifixion, we see the Lamb, suffering with the weight of all of our sins past present and future laid upon Him instead of us in the sight of God, who accepted this final sacrifice of the Lamb as a substitute for our sins / evil / error, seeing thereafter only this sacrifice as a remission of sin for those who believe. And His resurrection as a promise for the future resurrection of all believers. In the book of Revelation, when John is caught up into heaven, He sees the "Lamb as it were slain", as the one worthy to open the seals of the book. Finally at the end of the Bible we see the Lamb obtaining a wife, Revelation 19:7-9 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. My dad taught to never cut grass to short. In times when it is hot and no rain if you do it will die. Peter tells us we are blades of grass . “1 Peter 1:24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away.” We had to always remind each other of this so we are not found in Micah chapter 3. we never wanted to be “ prophets that make my people err.” We are nothing but clay being molded and formed by God. We never wanted to have people following people. Every person that ever forgets they are just blades of grass will be found in Micah 3. “1 Peter 1:25But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.“ Peter knew this and Paul had to be reminded everyday... “2 Corinthians 12:7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.” Any flesh on earth right now that has a following need to ask , are they following the Word of the Lord or me??? Jesus told us those prophets , teachers and preachers would come until He returns. It is easy to make this life about us in a me world. Jesus tells us earth is a field and He will gather His. “Matthew 13:28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? 29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.” Our roots had to grow next to tares and not become a tare. “Matthew 13:19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. We never wanted to please the flesh or have the flesh follow flesh. Harvest is going on and will come to an end, we never wanted to be found as a tare. “Matthew 13:40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.” Jesus is very clear how hard that is in this world. “Luke 12:53 The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.” They were teaching peace in Micah ,when there was not peace , the war is not over till Jesus comes with that sickle. Luke 12:51 I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division.” We can not love anything or one more than Him. If you have someone you care about , but you know they are a tare , it was never the love of Jesus to help them remain a tare. It was never the love of Jesus to help anyone” burn in the fire. “ Love was found in the father of the prodigal son. When the son left the field of tares to become wheat. The father allowed that son to hang out with the tares and did not go after or help, until the son saw he wanted no part of the field of tares. The love of God can be seen with Jesus on the Cross. We would never do something like that as an act of love. Know what God's love is, it looks nothing like ours. We live in a world full of tares but we are to have no part in their growth... |

Those that really knew and hungered for Jesus ,would always s understand parables or riddles... “Luke 8:10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.” Why? Because Jesus was always the message... “Ezekiel 17: 18 Seeing he despised the oath by breaking the covenant, when, lo, he had given his hand, and hath done all these things, he shall not escape. 19 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; As I live, surely mine oath that he hath despised, and my covenant that he hath broken, even it will I recompense upon his own head. 20 And I will spread my net upon him, and he shall be taken in my snare, and I will bring him to Babylon, and will plead with him there for his trespass that he hath trespassed against me. 21 And all his fugitives with all his bands shall fall by the sword, and they that remain shall be scattered toward all winds: and ye shall know that I the Lord have spoken it. 22 Thus saith the Lord God; I will also take of the highest branch of the high cedar, and will set it; I will crop off from the top of his young twigs a tender one, and will plant it upon an high mountain and eminent: 23 In the mountain of the height of Israel will I plant it: and it shall bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be a goodly cedar: and under it shall dwell all fowl of every wing; in the shadow of the branches thereof shall they dwell. 24 And all the trees of the field shall know that I the Lord have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree to flourish: I the Lord have spoken and have done it.” “Philippians 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name.” A person or a nation never wanted to exalt themselves as anything on this earth. A person or a nation never wanted to be found teaching anything other than Jesus is coming. Anything outside of the what Jesus taught , teaches it is about this world. When they forgot and we forget He is coming , we build , kill, destroy , covet and exalt. “Luke 3:6 And all flesh shall see the salvation of God. 7 Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? 8 Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. 9 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. If people do not understand what John is saying about Abraham , then nothing else makes sense. Those that understood Jesus in Abraham and his son, or Ezekiel , are found understanding the parables in the gospels. For anyone to think a piece of land or only a certain sec of people are exalted above another , is the biggest lie ever told. Jesus is very clear about what and who to build... I guess that is why few are chosen and the road is narrow. They exalted themselves in Ezekiel , in Luke and today , that did not and will not end well... |
