A Presbyterian Church (USA) congregation in New York has garnered controversy for its decision to host a pagan sculpture on their property.

The United Presbyterian Church of Binghamton, a PC(USA) congregation associated with the pro-LGBT group More Light Presbyterians, hosted a fifteen-foot tall totem sculpture known as the Sviatovid.

Acts 23:11 And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome.

Paul in these pages faced hard questions , persecution and even plots to be killed. He was stepping in enemy territory and bringing a message not popular. Jesus changed Paul's name when He called him. Saul now Paul ,was a highly educated man and of much power by and for what is now his enemy. When we are called our birth name has no meaning, our relationships change and we only have one territory. If we hang on to any of our past we can not follow Jesus. satan whispered you can have and do both.
It will not be pleasant to truly follow, as it was extreme for Paul but we never wanted what this world offered. Jesus refused the offers of this world , suffered and died on the Cross, for us to get a new name, territory and identity. We only have to look at Abaco Island to be reminded we long for all He offers. It is time to look at what name , territory and power we hang on to from the past.

No matter what Paul faced the Lord told him be of good cheer, He would see Paul through his call...If you are facing a Paul kinda life because of your call , “be of good cheer,” all followers of Jesus will face a Paul kinda life in some form, it was always in the job description...

“1 John 2:17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.”

I also listen to Him in Scriptures and as a wife I am called to be Abigail... Read todays message and know He will take care of where I am to go , love ya.

I prayed about this and He confirmed I am to leave where I live and He will open that door. I live in a place of 5 generations of families strong in history and names , money and power. I have reached a dead end so pray Acts 23:11 over me...thanks

Tiger, you have been strong in the face of this opposition from your husband; this money was given to YOU, and you have been attending to your health with it, not wasting it.

Just scrolling through this last page or two on this thread, there are so many needs that are spoken and unspoken. Many of us whether we say it or not are going through things. Keeping each and everyone of you in prayers!


This morning, this kept playing over and over in my head. So, I played it and focused on Jesus instead of my troubles. It helped, so I thought I would share it here too.



Psalms 8:9
“O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!”

You are in my prayers. I'm glad to hear you have helpful supportive daughters. Please take care of yourself without worrying about the negativity coming from your husband.

God will watch over you. There is nothing to worry about, as HE is in control.

This money was an unexpected Blessing, and I have been extremely prudent with every penny of it.Please continue to pray for me, my friend !

I am a bundle of different emotions this morning. My son is leaving the state to train for a new job. While I am happy he has found this job, the mom part of me is sad.

When I prayed this morning, God reminded me that a man should leave his home, mother and father, as in Matthew 19.

Praying for all and please pray for me that I will be strong for him when he departs this morning and that I will not break down and cry.

Oh I completely understand! I burst out crying when mine put on his Navy whites uniform and officially pledged to serve in the Navy at the day of college graduation after doing ROTC. Mine left the state also.

It's so hard for us moms.. When did they grow up so fast!?
