Merry Christmas everyone. Yesterday was a crazy day. But I'm off today. I'm not going to spend today dwelling on the negative in my life. Today I will rejoice at all I have to be thankful for. Something I try to do every day, but sometimes it is hard.

God is Great.

1 Thessalonians 2:4 But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts. 5 For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloke of covetousness; God is witness.

Today of all days the Lord pulled this passage and I thought about why. This year I have learned many things and one is this , the Word of God was not to never be even opened except if allowed of God. He is the only One that knows who can be trusted with it. We have created a holiday to remember the birth of Jesus. The Word of God is the greatest gift ever given, it is life and it is death in the wrong hands.

Without meaning to we programmed children generation after generation to wake today and see what Santa brought under the tree. No matter how many times we may tell the children it is Jesus's birthday, they have one thought and that is , if what they wished for is under that tree. We try and find Scriptures and remember that night Jesus had to come from His Holy place and experience all He did for us to not perish. The commercial world has a hay day with gifts idea this time of year.
The wish of Jesus today would be ,no people pleasers with the Word He suffered for. No one be opening the Word God did not allow. No flattering words were given today, as His heart aches at what we have done in and with His name and His Fathers name...

The Word was always for us to know what God wants from us, not not we want from the word. Lord forgive us.

Dear friends in Christ.. I am thankful for the fellowship we share on this thread because of our Savior. May all of you feel the blessings of his peace and joy today and always.
