Tiges I just checked into this thread, what's going on, you got flooded?
Quoting: DGN Yes. The street, my yard, and my basement. Water was gushing up from the sewer drain on the basement floor. The street looked like a river, and my property looked like a lake. My oldest daughter, who lives 1 1/2 blocks away from me, got her basement flooded, and so did my middle daughter, who lives across the alley from me. We all got a big mess to clean up. :( Quoting: tiger1 I'm so sorry was it the broken dam? Focus on max ventilation to prevent mold if you can. Don't add heat it will incubate spores. Quoting: DGN No dams here. We are within 5 miles of Lake Michigan, and we have 2 rivers here. One is on the border with neighboring communities and another goes through the city. It was mostly the sewers. All through most parts of my city, people got flooded basements. The sewers couldn't handle the load. We got 2 inches of water in 15 minutes, besides the rest of the rainfall. Water was gushing out of the street sewer grates like a geyser in some parts of the city. I have been here my whole life, and have never seen it this bad. We are supposed to get more rain today. I hope I can open up the outside entrance to the basement, and let it air out as we are hauling away ruined stuff. Prayers appreciated.
