This could be a problem for affirmative action laws. May have to be rewritten.
Right now, no bias (or lawsuit) if the quotas rep. the make up of community. Which I think is fair.
However, what about all the minority communities? Will whites get 65-70% of the jobs in those communities?
These ridiculous and totally unfair demands, if given into, could have broader implications, i.e. in specific areas in the US, precedent would necessitate the rewrite of AA laws, basing hiring quotas on federal percentages (average) rather than community percentages, which fluctuate wildly across the US.
I sure hope shrewd heads prevail here and the rest of these colleges (& American citizens) think long and hard before they act and give in to these ridiculous and unbalanced demands.
