Anonymous Coward User ID: 68440360 United States 11/16/2015 06:54 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Gov. Rick Scott just came out and said he would not accept the Syrian refugees either! Quoting: krikin [link to www.news4jax.com] Scott absolutely did NOT stop accepting Syrians. He passed the buck to Paul Ryan who, btw, is supporting the refugees. Here is what Scott said: ""As the federal elected body that exercises oversight and authorizes federal spending, please take any action available through the powers of the United States Congress to prevent federal allocations toward the relocation of Syrian refugees without extensive examination into how this would affect our homeland security," Scott wrote." Scott acknowledged in his letter that Florida does not have the authority to stop the federal government from relocating 10,000 Syrians over the next 12 months. IOW, Scott's action is truly deceptive and dishonest. ewwwhh...I knew it...glazed eyes...major overturner of hospitalization.....ugghhh |

IOW, Scott's action is truly deceptive and dishonest. Yes, I did cure my Stage 4 cancer in two weeks when I was 48. I also reversed my chronic kidney disease (glomerulonephritis) when I was 25. In neither case were any medical treatments involved. |

catnahalf Deplorables assemble User ID: 36706549 United States 11/16/2015 08:10 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I was really worried because there was quite a list in central FL where the refugees were going to settle! Quoting: krikin Here's the thing- if you read through the other states' response to not accepting refugees- their letters are worded much strong than Gov Scott's. He's saying FL won't support it, but has no power to stop them if they choose to send them here anyway, so he has appealed to Congress. I don't understand how a Governor of a sovereign state doesn't have the power to deny anything he chooses but we no longer live under a constitutional republic, and, therefore, it's all convoluted. Of course, this is done purposely, so they all have an "out" and can place blame on someone else. He needs to import them all into Miami let the Cuban cartel weed them out. LOL |
