so where is the moon in it....

It the white blotch in the photos. It's pretty cloudy here. The photos are 30 second exposures. That's how you can see the stars in one of them.

I'm super happy with the pics this camera takes. What's more awesome is its the camera on a cell phone.

Someone's gonna say that it's "filter flair". There is absolutely no such thing. Lens flair however is for real.

Anyone who wants to say other wise better be well educated with the design of a multi element photographic lens vs. a flat single element filter.

Oh, and by the way - it's not lens flair either.

Seriously? You can tell it's not lense flair?

Any idea of what it could be? It's not moving' so it rules out anything in the atmosphere. Maybe a speck of dust on the lense?

I see it in the last one, very faint, but it's there.

Wow. I see it now too. Honestly starting to think it might actually be something.

I don't know enough about photography or the cosmos to say what it is. But cool pictures, thank you.

Maybe Dr. Astro would have some input. I find it hard to believe it could really be anything special, but I can't rule it out. I'll look through the photos before and after to see if I can see a dust speck or anything in them.

Here's another photo taken right before the others. The moon is bright, but the clouds are heavy in the area where the spot is.

Now that I'm looking at it. I took photos in between them and there is nothing present in the photos. The only time you can see the spot is when that area of the sky is clear.
