take the time to check all doors and windows and make sure they lock. repair as needed, use scraps of lumber to make extra braces.

keep area around home trimmed neatly so hiding places are hard to find, be able to observe others easier. make sure outside lights light up around home, motion sensor lights are cheap

Me and mine have nothing worth stealing, except tools that are not quite good enough that professionals would buy, and nobody else works on stuff any more. Burglers would spend more time an money on stealing them than they would get from a fence/pawn shop.
