huge crash sound house just shook about 12:10am EST

It felt like an impact sound like a car had just crashed into the house. I went outside with a flashlight no trees down nothing strange. As I am outside with the flashlight a neighbour from across the road comes out heard and felt same thing several other neighbours then come out and all described the same thing.
I called the police and they said it was a earthquake.

I'm thinking BS there is no way they would have official word like that within 10 minutes. Checked earthquakes Canada nothing posted [link to www.earthquakescanada.nrcan.gc.ca]

My daughter and I both though meteorite crash.

Probably won't sleep tonight
