There's no decent weather site with useful information beyond TV blather!

There's no decent and detailed weather on the net! Even things such as historical and forecast degree days, and integrated average temperatures are unavailable. This sort of thing could be incredibly helpful to anyone that wants to plan ahead.

Generally, all we seem to get is high/low temp, wind, precip, and advertising.

Where's the rest of the weather info? Any decent computerized weather station can compute these things if you want it to, and forecasting via models is the stock in trade of these sites.

Any ideas?
