Why is CNN giving away the location of people hiding from gunmen ???

I went to the CNN link from Drudge & they had reporters interviewing family members of people who texted their loved one that they are hiding in closets or offices after hearing shots or seeing bodies, etc.

If this is for real, then why would CNN be giving away info on live broadcasts that could be viewed by the shooters who have not yet been apprehended? Are they that stupid or desperate for ratings? Why haven't the authorities clamped down on them & told them to shut the F up?

The two guys I saw interviewed had crisis actor written all over them. I quickly turned it off because I just don't give a crap about this stuff anymore.
