If I am not mistaken part of the bill includes a gun ban on anybody who has a misdemeanor. so while they defunded Planned Parenthood they also took away A lot of rights. that portion of the bill was introduced by Harry Reid

As God as our witness, this was the right thing to do even if vetoed.

I think that a large percentage of gun owners made up their minds a while ago to ignore the law should there be a ban or gun grab or whatever.

If passed, this legislation just might get some into that category sooner.

I don't understand why this is good news.


Without affordable, local access to contraception and abortion there are going to be a lot more children born to irresponsible millennials in the coming years. Statistically speaking, the majority of those children will not be white. Many of you on here seem troubled by the decreasing white majority. This isn't going to help. Don't we already have issues getting clean water and resources to people?

It's not 'defunding' Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood has other funding. It is ending the government's portion of funding that goes to these abortion mills.

This bill failed in the Senate. They needed 60 to pass it and did not reach that mark because Reid and Feinstein attached gun control laws to it.

SO PP is still funded and they batted down the gun control measures.

This really outlines why no laws should ever be allowed to be attached to other laws.

Every change in law should be required to be voted on by its own merits. Attachments and riders should never been allowed. That needs to change asap.

I have been browsing long before them, and if you've been here for any good amount of time you know who I am referring to (hint: they pay to pin their own threads, and their threads are always pinned).

To them, if you don't agree with any of their tight-assed views, you're a "liberal". Again, another blanket-term used for anyone who doesn't agree with their views.

Access to contraception/abortion is always a good thing, because you know, the LIBERTY to do whatever you want is a good thing. People shouldn't get to rule people's lives based on their religious views. This could prevent a lot of problems down the road in so many ways.

Regardless, you're probably going to get banned for posting an opinion that goes against the majority of these hypocrites. If not now, it will happen eventually, trust me.
