Monday had become the wettest Dec. 7 on record!!!!Pacific Storm Parade to Lash Northwest With Heavy Rain, Mountain Snow
A succession of storms through midday Wednesday is forecast to drench portions of Washington, with up to 11 inches of snow-melting rain falling in the Cascades and Olympics, increasing the chance of flooding and landslides.

Its a one-two-three punch of systems, and we dont get much of a break, said Kirby Cook, National Weather Service meteorologist. It looks like a fire hose coming in off the Pacific.

This additional heavy rainfall will, and already has, triggered localized urban flooding and will push rivers above flood stage in parts of western Washington and western Oregon. Since the beginning of this wet weather pattern nearly a foot of rain has fallen in at least one location near Washington's Olympic Mountains. Feet of snow will also pile up in the Cascades, and other mountain chains from this Pacific onslaught.

Record rainfall has already brought flooding to the Portland, Oregon area to start the work week and the risk of flooding will continue into Thursday.

I was just watching the Weather Channel. They were talking about a huge system over the Pacific Ocean with 185+ mph winds that is effecting the weather on the West Coast. They were also saying that the area over the Pacific is where they do not have much weather data collecting equipment...

Yeah, I'm in the PNW and I think I could use a set of webbed feet. It's been raining for days on end. At least where I am, we don't have a major river to flood, but the streams are all running hard, and my subdivision road regularly gets covered by water. At night, driving over that area of road makes you want to pray, hard, that there's still road surface under the water.
