Quoting: Fancypantz [link to www.wcsh6.com] About 3,000 years ago, the Babylonians divided the zodiac into 12 equal parts and picked one constellation for each. So as Earth orbits the sun, the sun would appear to pass through each of the 12 parts. The Babylonians had a 12-month calendar, so each month was supposed to get its own slice of the zodiac. Here’s where NASA says the Babylonians cheated a bit. According to the Babylonian’s own ancient stories, there were actually 13 constellations in the zodiac. So they left out one, Ophiuchus, to fit with their calendar. On top of that, the sun didn’t move through each constellation to fit neatly into a month-long slice. Furthermore, the sky has shifted slightly after 3,000 years because the North Pole doesn’t point in the same direction. Have you looked at the lunar astrology? The chinese and hindu go by it. Some say that it is even older, but who knows. To me, the nakshatra and chinese looks very similar to the aztec calendar. My zodiac stays the same even with the 13th sign added. Still a Taurus. Can you tell? :P I have never looked at Lunar astrology. Haha, yeah. It's damn nice here (finally). bloop: [link to oi63.tinypic.com] Good to hear. Pretty hot here today. What year were you born Cerebrose? I'm not one who can read charts. I just noticed the pattern in mine, years before I found GLP and found it intriguing. Throw in the fact that it occurred at precisely 11:11 London time just sweetens it even more does it not? Is it yours? whose it is irrelevant, as a single chart belongs to more than one Either way, the February 4-5 1962 chart of the alignment of 7 planets with a total solar eclipse in Aquarius at precisely 11:11 London time has no equal, as all other charts pale in comparison wouldn't you agree ? |
