Forcing

Forcing is a technique used for training with the One Power (however it can also happen by accident) to grow stronger in its use, as long as the channelers reach their full potential. It is considered dangerous because it requires drawing more of the One Power than one can knowingly and safely handle. The benefit from this is that if the channelers are not destroyed or burned out by this process, they have quickly managed to increase their strength with the One Power.

Forcing is less dangerous for women under guidance of a fully trained female channeler, because it is possible for a trained woman to know the absolute limit of another woman's strength in the One Power. When caught as a damane by the Seanchan, Egwene al'Vere was forced, but it seems that the use of the a'dam is a safer way to preserve the forced damane from damage.

In TGH, Egwene was trying to take it off of herself.

In WH, Mat takes it off of her, then she is no longer controlled by her a'dam and is able to take a'dam off of the others.

I was just reading this.

Fortuona tells her she would be happier collared, whereupon Egwene shocks her by relating how she had been collared and trained in Falme, and found nothing but “pain, humiliation, and terror” in the experience. Fortuona demands to know why she was not told about this to a man behind her, and Egwene is astonished to recognize Mat. Mat greets her sheepishly, and Fortuona warns Egwene not to expect Knotai to serve her, as he is now Prince of the Ravens and her husband. Egwene bursts out laughing.

“You married Matrim Cauthon?”

“The omens predicted it,” Fortuona said.

“You let yourself draw too close to a ta’veren,” Egwene said, “and so the Pattern bound you to him!”

“Foolish superstitions,” Fortuona said.

Having been forced through statistics 351 and 352, improbability is math.

It leads to both. Such is life.

The Dark One

The Dark One is a primordial, sapient, cosmic force of evil in the universe. The Dark One's goal is to break the spirits and hearts of whatever sapient beings he can influence, and, if freed from his prison, eventually to remake Creation in his own image.

His actions appear to indicate that he is also a force of chaos, destruction, and discord, as many of his underlings, as well as Shaidar Haran, seemed to place a great deal of emphasis on increasing the amount of chaos in the world at any opportunity.

His existence is revealed to be an integral part of human free will, as his malign influence encourages humanity to make selfish choices. If destroyed, humans (and likely other sapient beings) would possibly become completely incapable of evil, violence, or selfishness in any respect.

He is said to have been imprisoned by the Creator at the beginning of time in a separate dimension outside of normal reality, and outside of the pattern, and has sought ever since to break free of his prison and destroy the Wheel of Time and remake the world according to his image and purpose, or alternatively, to destroy creation completely. He is currently imprisoned.

Choronzon is deemed to be held in check by the power of the goddess Babalon, inhabitant of binah, the third sephirah of the Tree of Life. Both Choronzon and the abyss are discussed in Crowley's Confessions (ch. 66):
