The 'Fertile Crescent'. The Garden. Volcanic soil.

Obsidian can be fashioned into both tools and weapons, rather simply.

Makes sense why it would be.
 Quoting: Seer777

The night before the Las Vegas shooting, I was thinking how pyramids look like volcanoes. Fire Gods and how devastating they have been in our past.

Volcanoes give warning before their 'wrath'. Appeasing a trembling volcano on top an idol made to it...

I posted the 10 Plagues clip from Prince of Egypt, with the 'fire falling from the sky'.

Seems Man has mimicked this ability, with guns, rockets and bombs.

Is the most humane way to cull a religion(belief system), to make them believe they are dying for it?

As if there could be anything 'humane' about genocide.

Revelation 16:21
'And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great... sounds pretty doomy to me. It would beat everything into putty.

It says the mountains will melt.

Sounds like volcanoes.
Super volcano?

Ancient Egypt Cities Leveled by Massive Volcano, Lava Find Suggests

Egyptian archaeologists today announced that they have unearthed traces of solidified lava on the northern coast of Sinai that date to around 1500 B.C.—supporting accounts that ancient Egyptian settlements were buried by a massive volcanic eruption in the Mediterranean, they say.

The new find seems to confirm accounts from ancient artwork and documents that recount the destruction of coastal cities in Egypt and Palestine during the 15th dynasty (1650-1550 B.C.), when foreigners known as the Hyksos ruled Egypt.

Same night. I went to bed and woke up to the news.

2017 Las Vegas shooting

On the night of October 1, 2017, a gunman opened fire on a crowd of concertgoers at the Route 91 Harvest music festival on the Las Vegas Strip in Nevada, leaving 58 people dead and 546 injured. Between 10:05 and 10:15 p.m. PDT, 64-year-old Stephen Paddock of Mesquite, Nevada, fired hundreds of rifle rounds from his suite on the 32nd floor of the nearby Mandalay Bay hotel. About an hour after Paddock fired his last shot into the crowd, he was found dead in his room from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. His motive is unknown.

Again?

And third time the charm right?

Look at these people. They don't listen to God. It's like they are that hardened in their hearts and that full of pride to continue repeating themselves until their eventual demise. God said 'My people perish for lack of knowledge.' This is what pure ignorance looks like.

Re: Mad World
It's the rhythm that does it. I posted a video maybe 3 weeks ago about a pedestrian bridge that started to sway when people were walking it across it on opening day.

They had to close the bridge because they were afraid it would collapse.

As people would walk together on it..they fell into the same rhythm side to side. They eventually figured out how they engineered it wrong and fixed it to great expense.

But no casualties.

I can't recall enough about the video or post to pull it up from memory.

That grandstand was OBVIOUSLY overloaded and the swaying in rhythm is most likely why that happened.

This is a known thing. They should've known better.

'Perish for lack of knowledge' is exactly right.

Fuck around and find out.. another way to say the same thing.

Why Do Soldiers Break Stride On A Bridge?

If soldiers march in unison across the structure, they apply a force at the frequency of their step.

If their frequency is closely matched to the bridge's frequency, the soldiers' rhythmic marching will amplify the vibrational frequency of the bridge. If the mechanical resonance is strong enough, the bridge can vibrate until it collapses from the movement.

A potent reminder of this was seen in June 2000, when London's Millennium Bridge opened to great fanfare. As crowds packed the bridge, their footfalls made the bridge vibrate slightly. "Many pedestrians fell spontaneously into step with the bridge's vibrations, inadvertently amplifying them," according to a 2005 report in Nature.

I decided to add another night to the upcoming camping trip, last night.

3 nights instead of 2, sounds for a more refreshing stay.

Eager to take a break from the world. I like that anything could happen and I won't have any way of knowing.

I was thinking about the bad guy/good guy thing last night.

How many people did Luke Skywalker kill when he blew up the Death Star?

What if it was called the, Life Star?

How many people died on the Death Star?

According to the official Star Wars lore, the exact number of people who died on the Death Star is 1,565,231 people.

Although the range is usually given to be between one million and two million, this answer comes from a vast array of information across the galaxy.

Being there is a guy wearing an E.T. shirt which came out in 1982, this photo is probably the line for Return of the Jedi in 1983 and not Star Wars..

Return of the Jedi's theatrical release took place on May 25, 1983. It was originally slated to be May 27, but was subsequently changed to coincide with the date of the 1977 release of the original Star Wars film.

I think why we as a species cling so tightly to our myths..because for a really long time, it was the only entertainment available.

Storytelling.

Repeating the same stories over and over or songs, is still something we love to do with our time. We add art, and effects and all the magic our tech can muster to a single purpose. To entertain ourselves and lose ourselves in stories.

Escaping into the stories such that constant pain/stress of reality doesn't wear us down.

Now stories are everywhere..but still often carry a common theme.
