Informed Consent

Permission granted in the knowledge of the possible consequences, typically that which is given by a patient to a doctor for treatment with full knowledge of the possible risks and benefits.

Informed consent is a process for getting permission before conducting a healthcare intervention on a person, for conducting some form of research on a person, or for disclosing a person's information.

Which was mind control through hypnosis and torture..

An informed consent can be said to have been given based upon a clear appreciation and understanding of the facts, implications, and consequences of an action. Adequate informed consent is rooted in respecting a person's dignity.

To give informed consent, the individual concerned must have adequate reasoning faculties and be in possession of all relevant facts.

Impairments to reasoning and judgment that may prevent informed consent include basic intellectual or emotional immaturity, high levels of stress such as posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or a severe intellectual disability, severe mental disorder, intoxication, severe sleep deprivation, Alzheimer's disease, or being in a coma.

Facebook has conducted experiments on us that show how susceptible we are to mind control. In 2012, the company secretly tampered with the news feeds of nearly 700,000 people, manipulating the ratio of emotionally positive to emotionally negative posts, then monitoring the subsequent activity of those users.

What they found is that emotions can be remotely controlled and are highly contagious on the platform. People who saw more unhappy posts showed more unhappy activity and vice versa. Many questioned the experiment’s legality and ethics, wondering if Facebook had triggered any suicides. Facebook apologized for the way the experiments were conducted and promised to conduct them “differently” in the future, with enhanced review.

People are very easy to control using emotional triggers disguised as positive reinforcement, and the susceptibility to echo chamber in social media, is terrifying.

World of Warcraft utilized this same methodology when when they changed the word 'unrested' to 'normal' and 'normal' to 'rested'.

For discussion purposes.. an AI that can use an algorithm to examine, analyze, and crunch together every website, song, meme, click, post, buying history, family data, what foods they eat..a person has engaged in over the last 10 years in a matter of seconds.

Then compare that to a list of known beliefs/behavior(s) using probability then applying decision theory, can come very close to be able to knowing what there is to know about a person, how they think, what they are passionate about..and in that..how to control them better..all without considering the implication of weighing human experience against an algorithm.

José Delgado

He tried to create mind control. While at Yale in the 1950s and ‘60s, Delgado inserted electrode implants into the brains of primates and used a remote control that gave off radio frequencies to make the animals perform complicated movements. Later, he placed an implant into the brain of a bull and got into the ring with the beast, using his transmitter to stop it charging before it reached him.

Perhaps most alarmingly of all, Delgado also wired up no less than 25 people. Behaviourally, his device only impacted people’s aggression, but he kept striving for a way to achieve mind control, once stating, “We must electronically control the brain.
