New research reports that the virus can withstand all climates Check Twitter for some news, interesting stuff today including a billionaire from china talking about them fudging the numbers I've left my house once since 2 Fridays ago, when this all started. I'm sure you've wondered in the past if I was a shut-in. Now you know for sure. I already made my life like this and this was the reason. I got real tired of asking people, if they were sick when they would cough in front of me. I tried to isolate myself from young children completely..being they are always sick. I spent years of my life in my 20s..absolutely miserably sick.. I've had pneumonia more than twice. Such that..I have now made my life to have separated myself physically from people as much as possible. Maybe that explains some of my behavior for those here that have known me longest. ^^ I didn't want the vaccine and I don't want Covid. I'll just stay here until it is over and keep my head down. Seer777 (OP) Ride the wings of the mind User ID: 79836353 United States 09/14/2021 10:34 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I've been thinking a lot about the Judas goat and the word scapegoat, and if they come from the same concept, and if that is why Satan is portrayed as a goat. Quoting: Seer777 It makes sense. Scapegoat In the Bible, a scapegoat is one of two kid goats. As a pair, one goat was sacrificed (not a scapegoat) and the living “scapegoat” was released into the wilderness, taking with it all sins and impurities. The concept first appears in Leviticus, in which a goat is designated to be cast into the desert to carry away the sins of the community. [link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)] I'm thinking more in line to why believers are often referred to as 'sheep' and the role of the Judas goat, leading them to the slaughter house. A control mechanism. One they comfortably follow. The Judas goat escapes..or scapegoat and takes the betrayal of all the 'sheep' with him. Quoting: Seer777 Also easily exploitable to the unscrupulous, cons, and secular nations. 'Believers' are by design gullible to obey their religious authority, and adhere to their rules and belief systems..much like cults. It also makes sense of Jesus being called the 'sacrifice', while the 'Judas' goat..escapes. I heard someone say once..If you go around acting like Jesus, prepare to be crucified.. Hypatia, and countless saints, sages, philosophers, artist over the ages..found that out too. A willingness to martyr one's self, or murder others due to belief(s). Maybe that is the virus.A language virus. I've been thinking about Flat earthers..and how it almost seems like they are under a spell. Like listening to and watching the YouTube videos, puts normally rational people in a state to accept the most outlandish of possible theories. A complete dismissal and breaking away from everyone else that believe otherwise. It isolates them in their beliefs, such that they seek out others, that share it. Quoting: Seer777 We the 'round Earthers'..sneer and shake our heads in disbelief that anyone could be so gullible..but there they are. And they are adamant about it. That started me thinking about human encountering a language virus, like memes, and then passing it to others. Like infected computers pass it to others. Are 'Flat Earthers' infected with a language virus? Still fleshing this out.. [link to youtu.be (secure)] Imagine being born in a country that forced you to follow their religion. No choice..you observed or you were killed, by your own family. Then we wonder why they grow up to be killers. Now imagine being born in a family that gave you no choice but to follow their beleif system. You follow and worship and believe was they do or you are ostracized and abandoned. Shunned and shamed. Not that secular nations are all that great either. Is this the best we can do here in 2021? Trust the plan! Susan B. Anthony Quoting: Seer777 While Stanton attacked traditional Christianity in The Woman's Bible, detailing how religion helped suppress women's rights, Anthony preferred to keep the movement as broad as possible, writing, "I have worked 40 years to make the [women's suffrage] platform broad enough for atheists and agnostics to stand upon, and now if need be I will fight the next 40 years to keep it Catholic enough to permit the straightest Orthodox religionist to pray and count her beads upon." Deeply faithful, Anthony refused to secularize the women's rights movement, knowing it would take both the religious and the irreligious to change society. Quoting: Smashed~4~Doom [link to www.news.com.au (secure)] It's called secular humanism. Quoting: Seer777 Secular Humanism Quoting: Seer777 Secular humanism, often simply referred to as humanism, is a philosophy or life stance that embraces human reason, secular ethics, and philosophical naturalism while specifically rejecting religious dogma, supernaturalism, and superstition as the basis of morality and decision making. Secular humanism posits that human beings are capable of being ethical and moral without religion or belief in a deity. It does not, however, assume that humans are either inherently good or evil, nor does it present humans as being superior to nature. Rather, the humanist life stance emphasizes the unique responsibility facing humanity and the ethical consequences of human decisions. Fundamental to the concept of secular humanism is the strongly held viewpoint that ideology—be it religious or political—must be thoroughly examined by each individual and not simply accepted or rejected on faith. Along with this, an essential part of secular humanism is a continually adapting search for truth, primarily through science and philosophy. Many secular humanists derive their moral codes from a philosophy of utilitarianism, ethical naturalism, or evolutionary ethics, and some advocate a science of morality. ........ In 1851 George Holyoake coined the term "secularism" to describe "a form of opinion which concerns itself only with questions, the issues of which can be tested by the experience of this life. [link to en.m.wikipedia.org (secure)] Council for Secular Humanism According to the Council for Secular Humanism, within the United States, the term "secular humanism" describes a world view with the following elements and principles: Need to test beliefs – A conviction that dogmas, ideologies and traditions, whether religious, political or social, must be weighed and tested by each individual and not simply accepted by faith. Reason, evidence, scientific method – A commitment to the use of critical reason, factual evidence and scientific method of inquiry in seeking solutions to human problems and answers to important human questions. Fulfillment, growth, creativity – A primary concern with fulfillment, growth and creativity for both the individual and humankind in general. Search for truth – A constant search for objective truth, with the understanding that new knowledge and experience constantly alter our imperfect perception of it. This life – A concern for this life (as opposed to an afterlife) and a commitment to making it meaningful through better understanding of ourselves, our history, our intellectual and artistic achievements, and the outlooks of those who differ from us. Ethics – A search for viable individual, social and political principles of ethical conduct, judging them on their ability to enhance human well-being and individual responsibility. Justice and fairness – an interest in securing justice and fairness in society and in eliminating discrimination and intolerance. Building a better world – A conviction that with reason, an open exchange of ideas, good will, and tolerance, progress can be made in building a better world for ourselves and our children. Give it too early and the drug could make things worse by impairing the body's ability to fight off the virus. This is not a drug you would usually give in the "mild" stage of the disease Monoclonal antibody therapy This is a combination of antibodies, made by the company Regeneron, which mimic our own immune response. The antibodies physically stick to the coronavirus so they can't get inside the body's cells and they make the virus more "visible" to the rest of the immune system. Regeneron's treatment was developed using cells derived from an aborted foetus, which are used to test the antibodies' ability to neutralise the coronavirus. The Trump administration suspended federal funding in 2019 for future projects using foetal tissue from abortions. The cells used in Regeneron's treatment were from a foetus aborted in the 1970s, so predating that move. Remdesivir This antiviral drug was first developed as a treatment for Ebola. It works by confusing the virus as it looks chemically similar to some of the raw materials the virus needs to replicate. This disrupts the virus's ability to make thousands of copies of itself. Clinical trials have shown the drug cuts the duration of symptoms from 15 days down to 11. [link to www.bbc.com (secure)] It's the utter disconnect that gets me... *Glitches May Occur. I was taking a Summer class that involved math proofs, in order to apply. Some weeks before the class started I attended my niece's birthday party, caught a cold, which turned into pneumonia like it often does for me. I knew it was pneumonia and asked for antibiotics but they gave me steroids instead which kept me up for an entire week and ruined any ability I had at completing math proofs. So there I was, pneumonia, no sleep, coughing in class and needing antibiotics while I suffered through steroids. I heard all but 2 failed the class. I never applied for school again and became a nanny before dedicating myself full time to our business. One that thankfully allowed me off entire Winters during cold/flu season and now has allowed me to isolate during Covid. Difficulties strengthen the Mind as labor does the body... ~Seneca |
