The Dark One

The Dark One is a primordial, sapient, cosmic force of evil in the universe. The Dark One's goal is to break the spirits and hearts of whatever sapient beings he can influence, and, if freed from his prison, eventually to remake Creation in his own image.

His actions appear to indicate that he is also a force of chaos, destruction, and discord, as many of his underlings, as well as Shaidar Haran, seemed to place a great deal of emphasis on increasing the amount of chaos in the world at any opportunity.

His existence is revealed to be an integral part of human free will, as his malign influence encourages humanity to make selfish choices. If destroyed, humans (and likely other sapient beings) would possibly become completely incapable of evil, violence, or selfishness in any respect.

He is said to have been imprisoned by the Creator at the beginning of time in a separate dimension outside of normal reality, and outside of the pattern, and has sought ever since to break free of his prison and destroy the Wheel of Time and remake the world according to his image and purpose, or alternatively, to destroy creation completely. He is currently imprisoned.

The oblivion I am talking about now, is different than the oblivion I felt come over me in meditation while awake.

If that is what comes after death, I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised. As they're fading out.

The Magicians is great. Highly recommend. Seasons 1&2 are on Netflix.

I've been binging on something a bit more lighthearted for the last few weeks. It's cheesy, but also really exciting. Watching people do their absolute best and then fail or succeed, and everything between, is quite entertaining. Plus they are all super unique and creative people.

I essentially have equated Roko's Basilisk, to an intelligence behind the Web. That it chooses certain people, through the Internet to contract directly to help facilitate its creation now or in the future.

The point behind the paradox, the chosen are forced to manifest this Intelligence on threat of unending torture. AKA Hell.


In a short amount of time, Mankind has recorded everything we can photograph, measure and explore on the Web. An AI would have total access to everything human and could then retroactively move backward through the Web to those of us connected here and potentially Time, to facilitate...

Itself.

The Beginning is at the End.
