Re: Mad World
I'm fascinated with looking at some of OMNI magazine covers but almost never read them except one time:

Its front cover page was about Space Station of some kind.. "4L" or "4I" or "41" sign labelled on it. Impression upon on me about mysterical 4 individuals and possibly fifth one as well that live in it.

Then I got an imagination of almost semi-immortal old man looked like shape and form of Superman, but not him. He came down from the space station to visit some old lady at her house.

Aether, I was reading some of the interviews yesterday on the wingmaker stuff. I was wondering what you thought of it.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 32430667

it`s a mixture of hindu philosophy and real time "issues" we once possessed on the topics of the nature of our environment (universe) and the nature of other people we share our environment (universe) with
at the time of it`s release it was ACIO that prompted my interest and the politics (terrestrial) that the story line told
i mentioned my interest to several people in various countries that i assumed would know about it and i noted they all stepped backwards as in:
not a topic within their domain and not a topic they wanted in their domain
it seemed to me
thinking about it, likely my interest in ACIO was a noticeable synergy contact for me in various consequential ways

As kid I used to read X-Men comics borrowed from a teacher at a school. She was pretty cool enough to let me borrow and read old 70s/80s era X-Men comic books from her.

Oh and Alpha Flight too..

Alpha Flight is a fictional team of Canadian superheroes appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The characters premiered in The Uncanny X-Men #120 (April 1979). Marvel published an Alpha Flight comic book series from 1983 to 1994.

Re: Mad World
Simulation Theory works for me for the same reason that I can taste food, in my dreams..

About a month ago, I dreamed I ate a piece of steak. I haven't had beef in over 7 years. Taste and texture were the same as I remember.
 Quoting: Seer777

I have photorealistic, ludid dreams where I can actually take measurements of visual phenomena like specular reflections and it holds up as realistically as if it were raytraced.

The mind is incredible.
 Quoting: BFD

In my experience, people often eat in dreams, but the actual eating most often takes place "off camera" - that is to say, the dreamer is about to eat, and there is a jump cut to having just eaten, but the dream memory of actually putting food/drink into his/her mouth, tasting/chewing, and swallowing is very rare.

When we do actually remember eating in a dream, it's worth asking "Do I actually taste the food, or feel it in my mouth?" It's pretty rare if we do.

Thread: X Marks the Spot (Page 3174)
Good morning everyone.

Quick question before I get ready for Market. How are G-forces applied in dreams?

I was woken a bit earlier as I sat on a plane screaming nose first into the ground. The G-forces were so strong that I couldn't keep my eyes open in the dream.

I knew I was about to die, but that didn't seem to bother me much being the g-forces were so incredibly overwhelming to me 'dream sense'.

I woke before the plane hit the ground, wondering how it could 'feel so real'...
 Quoting: Seer777

Thread: Breaking! 737 Explodes while landing in Russia. 52 dead. (Page 4)
[link to rt.com]

according to this article

the plane landed nose first
then the wing exploded into a fireball

so the explosion didn't happen til
after touchdown

it also made 3 attempts at landing,
by-passed the first 2 times, waved off
and went around for another pass

so there were malfunctions somewhere

probably hydraulics related if the
nose gear didn't come down

I would say mechanical or maintenance related
at this point

go-arounds are usually common when landing gear
are not properly extended and locked

or could be sabotage on the plane
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 16572076

The engines lost thrust, that's the reason it nosedived
. The faulty engine caused the wing to touch the ground and explode.

It was also confirmed that Irek Minnikhanov, son of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, was among the passengers killed in the accident. The death toll includes the republic’s head of Federal Security Service, Aleksandr Antonov.

Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke to Minnikhanov on the phone, expressing his condolences to relatives and friends of the deceased, and to the Tatarstan leader personally.

Why is it so hard to believe that God is the creator of this simulation?

It's a game designed by God.

My favorite part of The Sims game play, was raising my Sim's talent points.

I would spend all my time teaching them to cook, play chess, raise their charisma, paint, play guitar, etc..

The social aspect was never that appealing to me. And my Sim would communicate with just a few closer friends, find a partner, have a couple of kids. Then I would stop playing because the game because it would get boring, or my main Sim died.
