U.S. birth rate falls to its LOWEST in 35 years - and experts predict the 12-year 'baby bust' trend will continue because of COVID-19's impact on the economy

Aside from a one-year uptick in 2014, US births have been falling every year since 2007, when a recession hit the country. The drop continued even after the economy rebounded.

Prior to 2007, the fertility rate had remained consistently below replacement levels since 1971.

No baby boom for you.

No intelligent people will breed slaves willingly.

Im guessing I would be lumped in with the idiots. We both look at the same picture but I see the needle and you seem to miss it.

To me, being a student of history, this is where we are approaching a monumental hurdle ,which many will fail to pass, but what is on the other side is quite worthy of persistence. Even if I wasnt to make it.

When I posted that about people choosing to get pregnant during these times..was 2 months ago. Are you planning a new pregnancy?

If no, why not?

I know why..same reason I don't.

Times have always been " uncertain and unclear". However, I cannot use my own situation as a norm.

I cant even compare Canada to the States, as we are a fully socialized system.

Birth rates have more typically fallen off due to a percieved standard of living in the western world. There is also a question of declining fertility rates.

Now we will have mrna vaccines to contend with.
