U.S. birth rate falls to its LOWEST in 35 years - and experts predict the 12-year 'baby bust' trend will continue because of COVID-19's impact on the economy Aside from a one-year uptick in 2014, US births have been falling every year since 2007, when a recession hit the country. To me, being a student of history, this is where we are approaching a monumental hurdle ,which many will fail to pass, but what is on the other side is quite worthy of persistence. Even if I wasnt to make it. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78662744 When I posted that about people choosing to get pregnant during these times..was 2 months ago. Are you planning a new pregnancy? If no, why not? I know why..same reason I don't. Quoting: Seer777 Times have always been " uncertain and unclear". However, I cannot use my own situation as a norm. I cant even compare Canada to the States, as we are a fully socialized system. Birth rates have more typically fallen off due to a percieved standard of living in the western world. There is also a question of declining fertility rates. Now we will have mrna vaccines to contend with.
