Kinda...Like GLP?

Having faith that there is rhyme and reason in everything is the cause of much suffering.

I don't and have never, prayed to GLP.

I come here for various reasons. Being objective is key. Not always easy.


This is personal and something I've struggled with for decades.

Honestly feels good to be free of it. It is like weight lifting off. I am not going to carry it anymore.

A very interesting thought that just occurred to me. Having control of the fates could be likened to having free will. So why is it I feel more free after having made the choice to wrestle with control of the muses rather than the fates?

Not sure I understand the question.

As I understand it..the muses are not to be controlled or contained. Like squeezing sand, the tighter your grip, the faster it slips away.


Fate speaks of determinism. Did you watch the vid I posted the other day?

Can free will and prophecy exist on the same timeline?

Whenever the subject of prophecy comes up, and my thoughts are implored upon, this is what I have to say:

The distinction between prophecies which come true and those that do not is simply that the former are the ones that were not lost to history.


As far as the subject of containing (because it's a more fitting word) the muses, between doing what I am told that I cannot and following a directive of what I should do, I would rather forever go against the impossible grain.

I would rather be a muse. Fate sounds too boxed in with no real freedom. Just serving a function.

Muses inspire and give the gift of creative energy and drive to see it through.

That piques my curiosity which of the muses is most prominent in your nativity.

Urania is in mine, strikingly so, and it wasn't until after half the breadth of time of my esoteric study and creative writing had passed that I would see it to be so.

...and how is it that dreamcatchers are made?

Just yesterday, how I don't know, it dawned on me I could weave a dreamcatcher for my elder tree with seven of those little wire globe things for suspending little trinket like things, and that I could make it depict her nativity.

How to fill the spaces of the seven spheres and weave the colors of all the houses and aspects, I already know. But how to form the basis of the circle... I don't know why it escapes me. Nor do I know why it's you in particular my intuition keeps screaming to be of assistance.

I have until July 1st. Eighteen is an important birthday.

I do have one hanging about 6ft away from me. It has a moon prism in the middle and a star prism hanging off the end.

One of the long time crafters at Market makes them and I traded her a ring I made, for it. She calls them fairy webs.

I don't know how to make them though. I don't know how to crochet.

Interesting about the 9 Muses.

Reminds a bit of Enoch's Watchers and what they taught to man. Of course in Enoch..they are assumed to be male, fallen angels.

It wasn't until after my mother's death I would learn of how much conflict within my parents' marriage was caused by her insistence on removing any and all gender attribution to influences considered to be transcendent divinity.


The dreamcatcher I keep above my bed has three concentric circles. Breezes through a window cause them to sway to and fro across differing vertical axes.


I'm a few more beers than perhaps I ought to be into my day, so maybe that's why I've the liquid courage to ask for what won't make much sense at the moment.

I think the myth of the Watchers and myth of the 9 Muses line up nicely.

I found a picture of her work..but they are the smallest and least intricate of her work.

She doesn't consider them dreamcatchers and corrects anyone that calls them that. She makes big ones that go for well over $100. These ones are impulse buys for the kids..

I'll be cracking a beer here shortly. I force myself to wait until noon, and usually stop drinking by 5 or 6 and I'm in bed by 9. I know they say drinking by noon is bad..but meh. I drink slow.

1. Clio: The Muse Clio discovered history and guitar. History was named Clio in the ancient years, because it refers to “kleos” the Greek word for the heroic acts. Clio was always represented with a clarion in the right arm and a book in the left hand.

2. Euterpe: Muse Euterpe discovered several musical instruments, courses and dialectic. She was always depicted holding a flute, while many instruments were always around her.

3. Thalia: Muse Thalia was the protector of comedy; she discovered comedy, geometry, architectural science and agriculture. She was also protector of Symposiums. She was always depicted holding a theatrical – comedy mask.

4. Melpomene: Opposite from Thalia, Muse Melpomene was the protector of Tragedy; she invented tragedy, rhetoric speech and Melos. She was depicted holding a tragedy mask and usually bearing a bat.

5. Terpsichore: Terpsichore was the protector of dance; she invented dances, the harp and education. She was called Terpsichore because she was enjoying and having fun with dancing ( “Terpo” in Greek refers to be amused). She was depicted wearing laurels on her head, holding a harp and dancing.

6. Erato: Muse Erato was the protector of Love and Love Poetry – as well as wedding. Her name comes from the Greek word “Eros” that refers to the feeling of falling in love. She was depicted holding a lyre and love arrows and bows.

7. Polymnia: Muse Polymnia was the protector of the divine hymns and mimic art; she invented geometry and grammar. She was depicted looking up to the Sky, holding a lyre.

8. Ourania: Muse Ourania was the protector of the celestial objects and stars; she invented astronomy. She was always depicted bearing stars, a celestial sphere and a bow compass.

9. Calliope: Muse Calliope was the superior Muse. She was accompanying kings and princes in order to impose justice and serenity. She was the protector of heroic poems and rhetoric art. According to the myth, Homer asks from Calliope to inspire him while writing Iliad and Odyssey, and, thus, Calliope is depicted holding laurels in one hand and the two Homeric poems in the other hand.

Pluto still a planet in my perspective.

You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you cannot do is ignore them. Because they change things.

They invent. They imagine. They heal. They explore. They create. They inspire. They push the human race forward.

Maybe they have to be crazy. How else can you stare at an empty canvas and see a work of art? Or sit in silence and hear a song that has never been written? Or gaze at a red planet and see a laboratory on wheels? We make tools for these kinds of people.


While some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.

for no reason that you can stop i get into similiar emotional state that you are in
not towards you
towards people and things that are not you

i have noticed myself doing it
