So why is it still playing, in its endless variations, on a loop? For starters, we have spent the past four years in an abusive relationship with this man, and that doesn’t simply end. One hesitates to proffer the analogy, but as his niece, Mary Trump, has observed, the most dangerous time in any abusive relationship comes when the victim attempts to leave. One of the reasons it is not quite possible to exhale, more than two weeks after the election has ended, is because Donald Trump refuses to concede. That’s his problem. But in the meantime, do we really have to watch him rage and tweet, bouncing off the walls of the White House in a fury, and expending whatever capital that remains to him playing with the troops, and firing everyone who brings a lick of stability to the current, rather perilous situation, and working fiendishly to disadvantage Biden’s transition team? Having lost in the courts, his new work evidently lies in emboldening obscure local election boards to nullify their voting tallies, calling them on the phone to exert pressure, inviting them to the White House. That means that even postelection we are still stress monkeys. He still has eight weeks remaining in which to break things and burn things down. Quoting: [link to www.msn.com (secure)] |

Rebellion vs Insurrection Quoting: Seer777 Despite our nation's refusal to be ruled, the government that arose from the Revolutionary War has passed laws prohibiting rebellion or insurrection. Although the law is rarely invoked, it carries serious penalties. The following article provides an overview of the federal crime of rebellion and insurrection and how it differs from sedition and treason. The prohibition on rebellion and insurrection arises in a brief passage found in 18 U.S.C. Section 2383. The law prohibits the incitement, assistance, and participation in a rebellion or insurrection against the authority of the United States and its laws. The punishment for this crime is a fine, a maximum sentence of 10 years in federal prison, and ineligibility for public office. Rebellion and insurrection refer specifically to acts of violence against the state or its officers. This distinguishes the crime from sedition, which is the organized incitement to rebellion or civil disorder against the authority of the state. It also separates the crime from treason, which is the violation of allegiance owed to one's country by betrayal or acting to aid the country's enemies. [link to criminal.findlaw.com (secure)] Seems we no longer have the right to rebel? Now it's just F*ck you, do what you're told? when our rights are clearly being infringed? Not very American. Not very American at all. I ran into this directly in March/April when Oregon was first locked down and I was staring into the future of my business being shut down. The only reason we are still afloat are circumstances that came into play quite suddenly. Like having the loan we carried, suddenly paid off in March, on the first beach house we bought/sold. We have been waiting for that chunk of money for close to a decade and planned to use it for other things. Now it just sits in an account paying our mortgage on our current beach house. Otherwise..we probably would have lost it. The mortgage in $2800/mo. So yeah. I feel awful for what is coming for many if we don't get this rent/mortgage/pandemic/unemployment thing..figured out and fast. If anyone thinks people will just leave their homes, take their families to the streets after they lost work due to a pandemic..they have another thing coming. Good luck enforcing eviction notices, in a country of hundreds of millions of guns coupled with desperate parents.. Difficulties strengthen the Mind as labor does the body... ~Seneca |

After figuring out how to move around..I chose a room and went in. I muted my mic and walked around the space(Sunset something) and the only thing I could really take away from the experiences is there were a bunch of children in there. I could hear all of them talking and I'd say the youngest I heard sounded around 9 and one kid..around 12 wouldn't stop talking at all. He kept up a continuing dialogue ranging from people's butts(their avatars?) to someone being a 'disgrace to humanity'. As an adult..the last thing I want is to be in a room with a bunch of kids on VR. Personally I don't think children and adults should be paired up in rooms together whatsoever..in such a medium. That needs to be addressed stat. Other than that..I'll see if I can locate other rooms that don't allow children and adults to mingle together in a VR chat room. Would have exited quick in that circumstance, but the juxtaposition between butt kid and the one informing you that you were blocking the entrance kind of sums up humanity. Playing online with a diverse age group is standard now, and while I understand in theory why you'd want to implement said rules, kids and adults need to interact. Could see you with a "nanny corner" reading stories to kids, maybe a duet with K playing the wolf avatar? :'D I did. I didn't stay long. If I hadn't heard an adult male interacting with the kids I wouldn't have felt weird about it. Why would an adult male want to engage in conversation with children and pretend pillow fights? Just..no. As a former nanny, my red flag went way up. Nah. I was paid to be around children and sacrificed both my youth, health, and some of my sanity. I'm done with all that. Maybe someday I'll open school..but not today. That took an unexpected turn, red flag is an understatement. Quoting: Amnot Large and far tho you are right but unfortunately conman man does not dictate our laws and practices. Because if Biden has performed an act of pedophilia on stage in front of their parents..we wouldn't be here having this conversation. He needs to keep his hands to himself. Don't touch other peoples' kids, unless they are familiar with you. Pretty simple. Even some adults..like myself..don't like being touched much at all. Certainly not with both hands. Personal space is very personal for some. In that, respect everyones' space. What Epstein has shown us..is that people 'forgave the act' because they considered the girls 'prostitutes that knew what they were doing'. They see it like, kids are gonna have sex in high school and sometimes junior high..so they 'know what they're doing'. That is the mentality that people whom Epstein surrounded himself with had, and then allowed him to get away with it for so long. They all knew. They just saw the girls as 'little prostitutes'. Not victims. I'm certain Pretty Woman is partly based on Epstein. It gave a generation of young girls the idea that a rich man would rescue a prostitute. When you're 15 years old..being ignorant of the world..is how it is. Glamorizing sex work in 1990. [link to youtu.be (secure)] Difficulties strengthen the Mind as labor does the body... ~Seneca |

I have an innate distrust toward any males that overly-interact with children that are not their own, or in immediate family. It's become a common fear sadly. Reoccurring theme is the lack of male teachers, especially primary years, due to that stigma. One of my best teachers was a male that I had in primary school, still remember his name. Can understand the fear. Have a bad experience, hear bad things on the news and it's cemented. Can only speak for myself, but I've had kids run up to me numerous times while doing katas in the park who then excitedly scamper back to their parents to show off the white belt Kata they've learned. Guess I was lucky the parents just kept an eye on their kids, rather then freaking. I got a kick out of it, Mia enjoyed the pats, the kids learned something and got a boring talk while practicing about martial arts fighting morals. But again...I was not in a room alone having a pillow fight with strangers kids. Red flags do indeed apply sometimes. *Glitches May Occur. Consume(D) At Own Risk |

My partner does. He loves that stuff. War is not interesting to me in a game scenario. Playing Civilization over the years..I always went for science victory. War is boring to me and ends progress. It's horrific. Certainly not fun.. Games are different than VR. VR is a totally different experience. This tech is new and people are gonna exploit it. Just a word for parents out there, who are thinking of getting an Oculus Quest for their kids for Christmas. Lots of games involve team play, WoW raids being another. Just went with CoD for the example. Tended to always go for science victory myself, was disappointed with the last installment I played. Removed a lot of the options by becoming more simplified. And certainly get what you are saying with exploit new tech. Was a kid when the internet started being used, those same warnings were everywhere about the dangers of it I never went on a WoW raid. Never joined a guild when I played in any capacity. I didn't understand why that was a fun for people. Part of the game that never made sense to me. I never really gamed to win. I gamed because it was fun and when it stopped being fun..I stop playing. I've only ever finished a handful of games. I beat Civilization a few times playing science victory..but usually lost. Well you do the raids to get the better gear, then you can do harder quests. Was actively playing when they brought in the cross server raid group searches. Put in your dungeon and role (dps/tank/heal) and would match you randomly with others to fill a team. Got rid of the bloody "lfg" spam in chat. Game for both winning and fun. Whatever the game, might as well advance and see the content, even if sometimes it gets challenging. Found it best with a few cities dedicated to military to keep a strong advanced army for the inevitable wars - some ai leaders always do due to programming. *Glitches May Occur. Like it's still ok for them to be prostitutes you know? Quoting: Amnot That's part of the reason why I would pick Adam Smith as the one person I would wipe from existence. Just because there are men that would demand sexual favors for money does not mean women should supply it as a service. We would be better off if women entrapped such men and murdered them so that they can not raise their sons to be like them. edit: minor grammar glitch |

Should be pretty easy to gage the ages of the users. Maybe I'm overreacting..but it just felt weird. Red flag seems applicable. Yes. The fallout of having less male teachers is certainly an aspect of those who would leverage the position to get close to, then abuse children. That goes for youth pastors, Boy Scout leaders, the works. Too many bad apples spoiled it for everyone. I'm sure VR porn is a thing..not sure about the chatroom version but that is a platform it can will exist on, strictly due to human nature. Teens are curious and ignorant. Overseeing/Restricting their activity online and in VR..is necessary. Difficulties strengthen the Mind as labor does the body... ~Seneca |

Quoting: Seer777 Time would be better spent overseeing adults' activity and ridding the world of those who prove themselves to be filth in my opinion. It's not ignorance teens have, it's naivety. Where would we be as a species without curiosity and naivety? We learn less and less the more our curiosity and naivety are restricted during the most important years of emotional development. The decline in our ability to learn is evident by our decreasing ability and willingness to effectively take out our own trash as a species. |
