What do the pineapples add to that, if I may ask? Does it balance out the saltiness of the meat? Also, are those canned artichokes too? I've never tried them, let alone on pizza. What's the flavor profile on all this?
 Quoting: Sweet Jesus!

I don’t put meat on my side. The sweetness does cut the oil, salt and savory. I like the way it tastes.

Artichoke hearts are salty and slimy if not properly sliced and drained.

My pizza, 2 before this was perfect.

This one I give 4.1/5.
 Quoting: Seer777

I'm forbidden to eat meat or cheese, so I couldn't eat it in any case. I'd like to try a pizza with mussels on it, but I also like them on the shell so it'd be tough to choose between how they were prepared. Thankfully, they made those illegal too, so I don't have to make a choice and can just watch porn until I go to sleep. I imagine I could have done more with my life, except for all the people who couldn't love me unless I were somebody else.

I recently moved to lactose free milk and then no milk and my life has changed for the better in measurable ways.

When the doctors said I was allergic to milk when I was a kid..I just figured it was something they told everyone.

Such that, I carried that same assumption through my childhood, teens, and 20s. Where I stopped seeing doctors altogether.

I was already well on my way to healthy denial in grade school..

Oat milk is okay with chai. Rice milk is what to use with cereal. Both are incredibly costly compared to regular milk, and the quality varies highly by brand. Every store carries different brands, making it necessary to go to several of them in getting the ones that taste right for my meals.

Vegan cheese is all terrible, doesn't melt, and makes the expense of vegan milk look like a joke. I found one vegan cream cheese that was an acceptable facsimile, but it was only carried by one store thus far. The other vegans find something that doesn't taste horrible and they will buy it up, so the long trip to the one store that carries it can be a total waste of time. Long story short, any pizza is out of the question now because other people (who still eat pizza themselves as well as meat) decided that for me.

I get it. You want a certain look, and don't care if you hurt or even kill someone to get it. Which is why you cast out among people you were sure were strangers, then also demonized the person so you would be numbed to the suffering you knew it would cause them. It's no mystery that you would never put a loved one through this, and the repeated offers to pay for the privilege of causing this harm are supposed to make everything better. You know what's best because you will kill anyone who disagrees. People with the power to fight back are simply evil according to this outlook.

The goal is to glorify someone who lives like a peasant, because everyone eating and enjoying themselves like the aristocrats did isn't sustainable, but you won't ask them to dial it back because you're their flunkies and if you didn't suck up to them the people you like to oppress would go and murder you. They also wouldn't spare the elderly or children. I hear you when you say what they do to you is evil, but many bitter memories of how you do business make it so that I can kind of see it if I'm being honest.

It's too involved to follow all these rules, and that is if we were dealing with someone mentally healthy, which obviously we are not. On either side. I'm eventually going to just stop eating altogether, which from earlier posts I gather is the goal. Speaking psychologically, and with no reference to spiritual traditions, what is a human life with no sex, no food, no friends, constant and mandatory spiritual devotion, a body sick and in pain, and a mind that has all sorts of neuroses from the people using force to make you do it? I'd say it isn't worth living at all, and the narrow range of acceptable activities aren't going to jazz it up enough to make that happen.

The point is to slooooooowwww down society. That's the rhythm feudalism can dance to. Couldn't have gotten the otherwise useless and bellicose Saudis on board without it. Algorithms are lightning fast. It enables very quick theft. Now if I want to keep my stolen monies, then the speed of markets and cultures must be viscous like molasses. Wheat you grow and mill and make into a hard, black loaf tastes better they say. It's balanced against the sunk costs that saying it doesn't would conjure up. Also, working that much just to stay alive prohibits the time and resources traveling to sample other foods would take. But that's okay because you've then got your neighbors policing you and a suspicious eye on all of your consumption. Ah, the olden days, romanticized by everyone who got rich breaking all their rules. Small wonder all prophets and messiahs are simple peasants. Aristophanes used to trot out the trope of the sharp farmer right after he'd finished flinging literal shit all over the democrats of his time. I wish I was stupid enough to convince on this front. I do. You will otherwise make this hurt me a lot more than you already are.

The Most Terrifying Thought Experiment of All Time

One day, LessWrong user Roko postulated a thought experiment: What if, in the future, a somewhat malevolent AI were to come about and punish those who did not do its bidding? What if there were a way for this AI to punish people today who are not helping it come into existence later? In that case, weren’t the readers of LessWrong right then being given the choice of either helping that evil AI come into existence or being condemned to suffer?

Some futurists make the case for paradise engineering — the use of advanced technologies, particularly consciousness uploading and virtual reality, to create a heaven on Earth. But if you can create heaven, you can create hell. It's a prospect that's particularly chilling when you consider lifespans of indefinite length, along with the nearly boundless possibilities for psychological and physical anguish.

Why Malthus Is Still Wrong

The problem with Malthusians, Bailey writes, is that they “cannot let go of the simple but clearly wrong idea that human beings are no different than a herd of deer when it comes to reproduction.” Humans are thinking animals. We find solutions—think Norman Borlaug and the green revolution.

The result is the opposite of what Malthus predicted: the wealthiest nations with the greatest food security have the lowest fertility rates, whereas the most food-insecure countries have the highest fertility rates.

The solution to overpopulation is not to force people to have fewer children. China's one-child policy showed the futility of that experiment. It is to raise the poorest nations out of poverty through democratic governance, free trade, access to birth control, and the education and economic empowerment of women.

Random thought.

At what iteration of generations within Mouse Utopia, had the DNA trauma memory of the potential for starvation, been lost?

Is it a cargo cult thing based on the misunderstanding of where the food was coming from, which they no longer had to work for, during countless generations of evolution?

A breakdown of superstition rituals that later led to apathy?

An endless supply of food, water and other resources were still there for the mice, but it didn't matter. The behavior sink had set in, and there was no stopping Universe 25 from careening to its self-made demise.

‘My Brain My Choice’ with the word brain having a stop sign spray-painted on it could imply a choice without thought.

While Rehoboam controlled people and made predictions based on data, it essentially just showed people who they were beforehand. Even without the technology, they may have remained the same; just that no one else could identify it.

Racket(Crime)

A racket, according to the current common and most general definition, is an organized criminal act in which the criminal act is some form of substantial business, or a way to earn illegal money either regularly, or briefly but repeatedly.

A racket is therefore generally a repeated or continuous organized criminal operation. However, according to the more specific definition, racketeering constitutes extortion or criminal coercion.

Originally and often still specifically, a “racket” referred to a criminal act in which the perpetrator or perpetrators fraudulently offer a service to solve a nonexistent problem, a service that will not be put into effect, or a service that would not exist without the racket.

Particularly, the potential problem may be caused by the same party that offers to solve it, but that fact may be concealed, with the specific intent to engender continual patronage for this party.

Re: Mad World
In regard to the low to medium intensity sex energy all morning, I'm not going to let you in.

I know how to keep you out and have.

If you take me, you'll take me fighting.

Re: Mad World
I remember 10+ years ago when IV222 told me I was the reincarnation of, Heimdall.

I remember being kinda offended because I didn't want to be the reincarnation of a male.

Kinda makes sense tho. hf

Heimdall, Old Norse Heimdallr, in Norse mythology, the watchman of the gods. Called the shining god and whitest skinned of the gods, Heimdall dwelt at the entry to Asgard, where he guarded Bifrost, the rainbow bridge. He required less sleep than a bird, could see 100 leagues, and could hear grass growing in the meadows and wool growing on sheep. Heimdall kept the “ringing” horn, Gjallarhorn, which could be heard throughout heaven, earth, and the lower world; it was believed that he would sound the horn to summon the gods when their enemies, the giants, drew near at the Ragnarök, the end of the world of gods and men. When that time came, Heimdall and his enemy Loki would slay each other.
